Will turning off the system integrity do anything bad to my computer? I'm not very tech savy @Lyrium

    Hey there!
I've been trying to install and run Maple Royals on my mac running OS X El Capitan and so far I've managed to reach the wine window opening up, but always end up on an error message about the server being down for a check or firewall settings. (see pic attached)

Is there anyone experiencing the same? I followed Audacity and Sarah Gee's advice but haven't made it to the login screen so far. :/

I would say just keep opening it, some people have said to me that it took them about 20 tries the first time but then it worked randomly, the rest seems fine to me so I wouldn't know what else to suggest!

Perhaps other people know better, I never struggled too much with the mac client :)

Well apparently mine isn't so kind. ^^' And as of now, I really don't know what could be causing it.

    Some more config info :
    - OS X El Capitan 10.11.3
    - Wrapper Version: Wineskin 2.6.2
    - Engin Version: WS9Wine1.4.1

Edit: Nvm, dumber yours truly didn't get the latest patch. But beware, the links to threads and resources in this thread aren't up to date (I had to go to the main site's downloads page, which I should have done from the start.)

I tried toggling Wineskin with xQuartz. nothing happens. It just keeps asking me to install Wineskin. I tried installing Wineskin to update wrapper. Nothing happens. It doesn't lemme update.

Will there ever be an update to MapleRoyals that will work with El Capitan? Because I would rather trust MapleRoyals than some companies I know nothing about.

I fixed this without disabling system integrity using the following steps:
    1. Right click the MapleRoyals app -> Show package content
    2. Double click WineSkin -> Advanced
    3. Go to Tools -> Change Engine Used
    4. On this screen, download the latest Wine (1.9.9 works for me)
    5. Go back to Tools -> Update Wrapper and select the latest Wine
    6. Enjoy!
The only minor annoyance was that it started with a black screen first time since I had to approve the firewall settings. Once you accept those all is fine.

This fix can also be applied before the distribution of the client such that people with EC no longer have to perform all these steps.

For people who is still struggling to get it work --

If you have Razer Synapse, Uninstall it.

    Hey guys,

Just got a brand new 12" Macbook with ver 10.11.4 El Capitan installed. I had the x11 error, so i followed the steps & did the 'csrutil disable' command to get past the error.

Now the application opens (with no image, just a grey background in the application), but following shortly after, my entire laptop freezes for 5-10 seconds before crashing and restarting.

    Thoughts?

    Hi guys,

Just upgraded my girlfriend's MBP to El Capitan and I came here to find out how to get MapleRoyals to work. Instead of using xquartz, simply create a ~/lib/ folder in your home directory and copy all *.dylib files from the MapleRoyals framework folder to the newly created /lib/ folder.

The game should work without needing xquartz installed.
