I understand what you mean, but it's like going through the same grind again. Trust me when I say MS needed that pre-BB curve. 8x-16x exp wouldn't be bad, believe it or not. And no, you wouldn't get that "instant gratification" either way. I don't want that. If I did, I would go to an 800x exp private server. There are many that do get tired of the slow grind.

I like low rate servers because...

    1. There's some use for low level weapons. High rates = boring market.
    2. Encourages you to go for PQs, you get to meet other players. I really like KPQ, and >4x would make that go away fast.
    3. Sense of achievement. Even getting to 3rd job feels nice.

Depends on how much effort you put into leveling, personally it only took me between 3-4months to get to 200 but that was training 10hrs a day, some people dont play that often but the game is what you make of it. The slower leveling is a lot more interactive which is what a server should be like! Who wants to solo bosses in 10minutes and level by themselves these days?

Even if I could play MS 10 hours a day, I wouldn't because I would be bored. Honestly, even when I played GMS back then I played 2 hours a day during 2x exp events (got to lv 150 Pre-BB). If I played 2-4 hours 2-3x a week it would probably take me an entire year to hit like lv. 170.

Anyways, I'll give it a shot, at least not the same class I was playing in GMS so it will feel like a twist.

I played 10hrs a day because of personal reasons (broken bone) so i had nothing i could do for months. Depending on your class it will be fast/slow you should just play at apace that suits you. I found every level fun from 1-190 and then i needed to take a break for 190-200 for a month. Just remember to vote everyday so you can keep funding yourself and you will enjoy the game, funding makes big numbers and thats what most people like to see!

I completely agree Sila. There are so many mini objectives to keep you busy. Fm, farming items, leech, gach, bosses. Always something to do.

As someone who joined the server probably not even a week ago after an on-and-off hiatus with GMS and flying solo in-game, it is the most fun I have had with the game in years. The players I met have been kind. A few have even gone out of their way to donate items without prompt. Granted, I am still a very low level, so it is possible this will change as I progress, but it is an enjoyable experience thus far! Plus, as someone else has already stated, there is so much to do that you'll find ways to keep yourself busy.

I would suggest giving it another attempt!

so much off topic. i will close or ask to a gm close the thread after i say this. leveling isnt hard, but the leech monopoly ruins the game HARD. if u dont like playing mage, fk u. make a bishop and u level fast. once u hit lv 50 u can do gs2 forever until lv 83 with max hs. then use the infinite money u got on gs2 and buy some leech which is cheap for u since u have hs. then lv 120 find someone to do the quest with u for genesis. this should take a week most.
after that just sell leech or leech urself. thats the ONLY WAY TO PLAY ON THIS SERVER. i made a NL with 0 money and high base int, no bishop, no nothing. took me 2 months to get lv 135. my friend made a bishop and a DK, 2 weeks, lv 120. welcome to maple royals, aka leech simulator. im out. peace.

I strongly disagree with that statement. Granted selling leech is one of the most consistent ways to make money, but it isn't the only way. I don't have a Bishop or a mage (I only actively play Hero atm) for that matter, but I make money just fine.

Just wanted to chime in that I also disagree about this is the only way to play the server. While I have a bishop, I have never sold leech. I have made all my money (albeit slower than others at first) by grinding, bossing on an attacker character, and taking my chance at scrolling. You don't have to compare yourself to others, just play how you would like is what I would suggest to others. Secondly, ofc warriors and mages are going to fet to 120 faster, they are a mobbing class and are much faster at grinding than an NL who mostly does 1v1 dps. Comparing yourself to classes that are meant for completely different things can get pretty discouraging so please keep a note on that! Since you've made it clear that you would like this thread closed, I will go ahead and do so, but I did not want other people to believe they have to make a bishop to play or sell leech.
