Over my years of playing on Royals (and anywhere else, for the matter) there always seems to be a handful of guilds who end up ruining the fun for everyone. Every community has them, and usually you'd see messages all the time about "X guild" and how guild leaders do nothing about it and let them run rampant among the community. Disruptive behavior such as apple stealing, boss looting, scamming vip, scamming leech, etc. goes unpunished, which in return could potentially encourage the other guild members to do the same. Creating an endless cycle of toxic behavior. Eventually, those guilds will gain a negative reputation among the community. You'll see smegas all the time about guild names, players will talk about it in buddy chat, passing the news around. I personally have a guild in mind that when I see them in any of my parties, I instantly leave because I don't want to deal with the risk. I'm sure we all do, at this point. I strongly believe that as a solid community, we should create a nice, welcoming experience for all players. With that in mind, we also can't turn a blind eye to those who ruin the game for others by doing such things listed above. Hence why I am proposing this idea to add this addition to spread awareness to the community about these guilds. To warn others, that playing with these guilds will most likely cause them to have an unpleasant experience. With all of that being said--- For me this is a grey area. It's a grey area because I noticed that we do have some guilds that can be problematic within the community, (you know who you are lol) but I also don't want to villainize people publicly unless they need to be. (ex: Blacklist and calling out the igns who smega that are on here) Which is why I'm open to suggestions on how we should add guilds to the blacklist, or why we shouldn't at all! Basically it'll cover the same things blacklist originally does, except it'll be on a larger scale. -KSing -Boss looting -Leech scam -Looting Apples etc. One person doing these things will not count for a guild blacklist. But if there are multiple reports on guild members doing this, and the leader / jr's refuse to do anything about it, then that's where the guild blacklist would step in. Some requirements on adding guilds to the blacklist: -5 or more posts with proof of different people in the guild. -Anonymous votes from the community using polls. - Anonymous community voting on blacklisted guild's reputation. ??? How to clear your guild's name: -Remove the offenders. -Proof of them apologizing to the affected player & returning back items if they stole any ??? Let me hear your thoughts and opinions first, before anything gets implemented.
I’m pretty sure no Guild is designed or created simply to be hated by the community, but usually a handful of players that cause the image of the guild to sink. Having an entire Community blacklisted simply means due to a handful of selfish players that just decide to scam leech, loot extra MoNs is simply not correct.
This is exactly what I'm talking about. I wish these guild leaders would step up and sort it out themselves, or solve the problem by removing the player. I've overheard discussions in the fm(s), people in buddychat, guild chat, and even in smegas about guild shaming but I think the main problem with it is the guild leaders not doing anything about it.
I think it is not very nice to do so. I know there are guilds hating each other or there are many individual bad apples in certain guild. I do feel it is common that such thing could happened because every guild leaders handle their community in different ways. But why judging everyone in the guild when only one or some of them are idiots? I also know some bad reputation guilds do have nice people inside too. If we blacklist a guild, their reputations may be affected individually, which I don't think it is fair to them. I suggest if someone in a guild is causing trouble, find out the guild leaders and sort it out. If the guild leader refuse to handle it wisely, then just warn within your own community or friends as you wish to. I voted NO to blacklisting guilds. Peace!
So, a guild with 100 players that have 5 players which are doing blacklist worthy activities, while their leader is not very active to know what they did / decides to trust his guildies is a cause to dragging the name of a guild in the mud? Thats extremely unfair for the rest of the members. I think the only guilds that are worth a blacklist are guilds which almost take pride in their harassment. There are guilds out there that most of its active playerbase have very toxic behaviors or do certain things with a clear goal of pissing someone off. What im trying to get at is that i get your direction, but the rules you laid down feel too opressive, and to some degree, a bit too cruel. Only a selected few guilds deserve such a treatmemt, and tbh, even without a blacklist these guilds are already getting shunned by the community. I just don't see it right that you'd artificially increase that boarder to include guilds that have a few minor offenders in them that the guild leader don't want to deal with (be it them turning a blind eye, or taking their guildie's side). I also worry that the blacklist drama would amplify grately in a thread that involves ENTIRE GUILDS. I doubt any meaningful conversations would be held there. Looking at the blacklist, i rarely ever see an offender buckle and apologizes / return stolen goods, and instead i just see them gettings defensive and argueing in the thread. Same could happen with guilds blacklist, which would just add fuel to the fires and probably increase the toxic behaviors of some individuals as well.
Lol no, you sound like trump banning people from Muslim countries from entering the u.s, based on some very specific terrorists coming from those countries..what’s next we gonna blacklist their alliance as well? A player who did something wrong should face the consequences, because when you single out a specific offender you increase the chances he will change his ways. When you single out an entire guild you unwillingly create a sense of unity in said guild, which divides the community instead of actually solving the problem. I have been in many guilds both in royals and gms and I can testify that there are bad apples in almost every guild.
i would like to join a guild that is not blacklisted as i am a legit maple royalers player that sell a fame every day (950k or offer). if anyone knows any guild that does not hack xD let me knnow in game : YYUMMMY i will try to join it and submit my application = i am writing one up now edit: i have work gloves +10 atk 0 slots clean
This is not a bad idea, but it could be just a few rotten apples that ruin the whole apple basket. Some people may just be playing normally while in a possibly "blacklisted" guild. Those people could acquire a bad reputation for something that their guild mate did. So instead, I propose that we list the blacklisted person's guild as blacklisting the entire guild could be seen as targeting all the people in the guild.
Just quoting this again because people are getting the wrong idea and think that I 100% want to add this to the list. I'm on the fence about it lol It is a poll for a reason. (and it's pretty close to 50/50 btw) I've stated this before, and I'm stating it again-- the whole point of this discussion is based on the lack of guild leaders stepping up and taking responsibility over their troublesome members. If you aren't making an effort to control your guild, then there should be consequences-- just like the people on the blacklist. I don't have a guideline set because it was just a thought. That's why I wanted the community's opinion on this topic, which is why I'm asking YOU as a member of the community to add your own thoughts, your own "rules," and what you want to discuss.
C'mon everyone knows there are certain guilds to avoid because either the leader is a nx looting, split stealing piece of shit or if you complain about one of their members doing that the leader will laugh in your face
@iSlush What are your thoughts regarding this? With the recent 20 attack sock drama, along with Degeneracy leaving your alliance, i'm sure the community would love to hear some words from you.
I agree, and could not put this in better words then what Joon has stated. However, my consensus is slightly different. I voted yes to the this question based on the way I look at things. If someone were to add a guild to the blacklist it would be for the sheer fact that a majority of the players or at least a handful of players are said to create the reasoning behind this. In other terms, If a guild is blacklisted, there should be a portion or section regarding certain players of that guild. For example, The format for regular players blacklist is as follows; IGN: REASON: DETAILS: A format that could be for the guild potentially could be as follows; GUILD: SPECIFIC MENTIONS: REASON(S) DETAILS: I think the overall in generalization of this thought is a good idea, just some things have to be reworked in my opinion. EDIT: If someone were to do something in game per say, lets use CWKPQ as an example. The group could go to the guild blacklist, and see if said player is listed under that "specific mentions" portion of said blacklist. If that said player is under "specific mentions" then the answer would be obvious as to not have them come along on the CWKPQ. However, if they are not under that "specific mentions" section, then why say no to said player, just because of a guild they are in.
