ALL Your Character Names: Last thing you did: shoutboxed Why do you think you got banned?: "not following forum etiquette" Ban message when attempting to log in: What GM banned you (optional): dave i said "when server owner cant be bothered to login for one day to copy/paste anni event, it's joever bois" but it's the inconvenient truth and censoring it doesn't change what is on everyone's mind
It is a personal attack on a staff member (Matt). We do not allow personal attacks against staff members. https://royals.ms/forum/threads/clarification-on-positive-helpful-criticism.190035/ You do not know the reason why the event has not yet started, and nobody is forcing you to play this free-to-play server. Somewhat ironically, the relentless undeserved insults are largely why Matt no longer contributes to discussions in this community. And no, the event does not magically start when Matt goes to last years forum announcement, highlights it, hits ctrl + c, opens a new thread, hits ctrl + v, and hits "post thread".
If that's a personal attack then I'm happy with the ban being in place to protect the mental wellbeing of Matt It is true I do not know the exact reason but you can't deny that the server owner simply cannot be bothered, with the actual anniversary being almost a month ago now. He can have his personal and professional priorities and players can give feedback. Saying it must be "respectful and productive" is a cop-out because it all gets ignored anyway in the defunct feedback section Finally calling royals free to play is also a cop-out. Not only have I donated hundreds to support the server but it's unwise to say that players should leave as soon as they're unhappy instead of voicing out. In any case I have indeed stopped playing for now
Hi, You are free to express disappointment regarding the anniversary event delay, and nobody is expecting all feedback to be positive. However, the issue is not that you criticized the delay itself. Your shoutbox message stated that the server owner "can't be bothered" to log in for a day and copy/paste the event. This goes beyond criticizing the situation and instead makes assumptions about a specific person's effort, priorities, and intentions without knowing the circumstances behind the delay. You are welcome to say that you are disappointed, frustrated, or unhappy with how the anniversary event has been handled. What is not acceptable is presenting personal assumptions about a staff member's motivations as fact. Whether you have donated to the server or are currently taking a break from playing does not change the expectation that discussions remain respectful and in accordance with our forum rules. The shoutbox ban was issued for the manner in which the comment was made, not because you expressed dissatisfaction with the anniversary event.
