If I'm doubtful as to whether or not a player is breaking the rules I try to consult with the other staff first. If they can not or do not respond, I prefer to van the player and err on the side of caution. Because letting a hacker continue can severely affect the economy of the game, causing more headache in the future. I'm sorry that you were unjustly banned, and if it does happen again in the future we will see the past occurrences as being overturned and do our due diligence to ensure it's not a wrongful ban.
Thanks for your response GM Muff, I was just trying to get some closure. Having tried so hard to stay on the straight and narrow and being rewarded for it by being banned just wasn't something I was expecting to happen to me, twice. Having the situation reduced to nothing more than a statistical eventuality certainly didn't help either. I understand that the logical thing to do for someone in your position would be to prioritize the many over the few, I will not begrudge you that. I just wanted to know what should have/could have and what did happen prior to the decision. I don't want to take up any more of your time, just chalk this up to someone trying to vent I guess. You guys can just ignore this thread, I have nothing else I want to say and I just want this behind me.
