This is very exciting, I know that it's not an easy task and will require a lot of time especially with you already have a very major project going. Tbh this is the reason i stay on this server. This would be a very nice addition, just keep items and areas from always getting better, you have done a great job with like ToT which is well balanced. I wouldn't mind things like scar/targa boss if the helm was proportional to how easy the boss is compared to zak and that goes for any new content, exp/drops doesn't have to get better just different.
I think pinkbean would be an amazing addition, horntail has quickly become somewhat easy and takes little to no planning to start a horntail run up. For pinkbean I think it will always take planning to get a run going and will be difficult. Of course there may need to be alterations to maybe the timeless/reverse equips or mw30 but the boss itself I think is a great idea.
I don't think Maple Warrior as a concept was a thing in v0.62. If it was, then Paladins for Combat Orders pls.

If you update to v83, please make sure you disable (or nerf) any training spot that ruins the nostalgia. I would love to see a v83 update, ring effects are working 100% there!!
If Royals were to update to v83, there are some map changes (training spots etc) which honestly I'm not very excited about. And there's also that dimensional mirror which imo, kills the nostalgia. Not to mention, the nx that are available in v83, which I believe a few of them are in the donor page, does this mean that it will stay as donor's item or..? Just a concern.
The leech mentality that plagues this server already killed "nostalgic training." Nothing wrong with malaysia. Nothing wrong with scar/targa helms. Nothing wrong with MoN. More content please.
I think certain pieces of the v0.83 patch is great, The medal and belt slot are useful and mulung dojo or even bosspq would be incredible. But in my opinion the dimensional mirror would be a terrible addition to the server.
This thread is about Pink Bean and not different versions of Maple. Let's try to get back on topic please! As for an opinion on this, I don't have one I can offer right now as I'm hopped up on pain meds. My opinion may or may not come at some point later in this thread
Not being staff, I can't give a staff perspective on Pink Bean. From a player perspective, everything I could say has been covered. Despite it being a "NL/BM fest" as someone mentioned already, we have maybe three night lords that hit the HP requirement WITH HB (and those aren't high enough level) and one (active) BM. I'm planning to wash high enough eventually, but that's quite an investment. It would be annoying to say the least, to start over. On the subject of the v83 upgrade - later versions of maple do not work on a Mac. Are we certain that if we were to upgrade, the client could continue to run on OS X? I would probably quit rather than constantly run the game in parallels - it's resource intensive enough just for bossing and the occasional event (like snowman.) Is that upgrade worthwhile if we have to ditch a third of the people playing the server, and a strong draw for newcomers?
I would be willing to bet the # of players drawn to a newer/better version of the game will exceed the # of players who only own a mac and refuse to install windows on a separate partition or use parallels, especially when there's so much low rate v62 competition.
I think adding content that is not from v62 is totally cool, as it doesn't really take away from the game. Giving players more to do is usually a good thing. Personally I am looking forward to any kind of mu lung dojo type of consecutive boss run, but even seeing other players excited about something like Pink Bean would be enough to keep the majority of our players motivated to train, in hopes of fighting PB ourselves at some point. For the players who've been playing for awhile I feel like adding new content like Pink Bean would be a reward for their loyalty I feel like content that changes slightly gameplay is also beneficial. In this case, we would change the party dynamic by making a class a lot more desirable; palys are rare. Not talking about class reworks, or maybe I am, but I feel having a more class diverse maple community makes the game more enjoyable. I think hurting any nostalgia elements isn't really a huge deal, i mean as Goofy pointed out: I'm relatively new, but i feel like the longing and nostalgia kind of fades, once you've been playing for a few months, years, so at that point including some content that is not necesarily from v62 or before can really add to the gameplay experience. Also, I feel like more people played ms after v62, so content after that would still be nostalgic, and to even more players. I've personally been playing since beta, so killing slimes and kpq really brings me back, but partying for those belts in the dojo really does too. I appologize that this is a little off topic from Pink Bean, and if any of my opinions seem a bit skewed, please point them out. Edit: also no shade to leechers, training sucks
v.83 isn't happening I don't think just cuz you'd lose all the coding done for this source. What was the point of all the downtime and fixes if we just wipe a clean slate?
