There is, Blizzard consumes 3.5k-4k mana, Meteor consumes 7-8k mana. Even though you can't cast blizzard when below 7k mana, up until that point you can still cast them for half of the cost it's supposed to be.
When I use my IL I still pot after every attack, so the only real difference I can see is a high leveled IL being able to cast 2 instead of 1, or you die less and save 2m for the charm. The pot cost is negligible and the npc prices is very high.
I want a nerf in NPC monies and raise in pot costs, well the whole thread is for that, they don't want it I wan't. Would be a pretty pointless thread if no one had opinions.
and attackers have a HUGE superiority in bossing compared to mages. whats your point? you control most of the relevant mastery book market there is a bug where blizzard only costs 4k mp, but the bug doesnt exist for F/P. I use 8k mp per cast, and when the new source comes out, you will be using 8k mp as well. so there is a difference, and it hurts F/P more than anyone
That mages hurt the economy they make the server get infinite amount of mesos, that's why I like the idea of nerfing things around them, especially npc drops, the trade could be you add in scrolls for a similar value for the most common mobs. I see a bad market as a big problem for everybody to have fun and inflation is very hard to fix when it already happened. When I played Maple europe there was so much duping in mesos the market collapsed, they even took away a certain % of mesos from everybody to stabilize it, I would rather put in solutions now than wait until it becomes a real problem.
Well, Mages have always been more capable of making money than others jobs and that's in every Maple I've played so far, and since this is a v0.62 server basically anyone would know that before start playing, imo this is just part of the game, and yes, since the drop/meso rate are higher they would benefit more from it. However a attacker also benefits from it when bossing, higher drop books from zak / ht, bf toe, etc, things that mages usually dont do. That being said I think that making the price of pots 4x higher would harm more the newbies who grind, for exemple , unwashed Nl's / archers, which depending on their location would use 1 HP pot every 1~2 hit. So if the point in this would be nerfing the mesos on the market @Plenty posted some ideas a while ago that imo could be more usefull. or everyone could just make a shadower
