The point of global events was the community aspect of it. Making event bosses available to all channels would defeat this purpose. Having said that, I do agree with alot of what you said. Preferably, an event format that everyone can enjoy that is not so resource heavy would be better for the sake of server stability.
I'm pretty sure most people go to Slime for rare items. It'd be nice if you had any other event ideas.
As I've said, the community aspect of an event cannot be understated. People go to get items but also to socialize. This is just a private server with a limited population. Making an event where everyone does their own thing would not contribute to consolidating the community. No I don't have any other ideas. If you do have any suggestions it'll be great.
I personally experienced more socializing during last year's chair scavenger hunt (sharing maps, bonding over the frustration of finding certain chairs, hunting for the same chairs in a party, skype calls while hunting). The Snowman and Lovestruck King Slime events do little for community bonding. The furthest I've seen it go is "J>PT" and a "thanks for pt" after the Romantic Present has been received.
Hence why I said that the current global events need some fine tuning to achieve that consolidated community aspect we are looking for. A global boss that is so easy to kill feels tedious and redundant. However, making that boss easier but available for all channel would defeat the purpose of unity.
Well of course you can get along perfectly fine without that 1att 7 slot shoe, but the point is that the person who gets one usually sells it for 700m or whatever it's fetching in FM. Another point is that if you give out too many strong items (and make no mistake, +3 all stat 1att 150HP ring is strong) in one-time events, new players coming to the server in the future will be discouraged because they can't get these items. So even though it's popular now, you're trading away the future health of the community. I'm not saying this because I'm bitter or anything, I already got my slime ring on all 3 of my characters.
Lol the only socializing that went on during this event are the conversations leechers had in Amoria whilst not participating.
Sila posted in the report abuse section that the T&C are getting changed a bit. I've also noticed a freeze in report abuse solutions from GM's. This could be what they have planned.
but as long as you continue to do events, new players will get items that end up being just as good for the slot at some point, if they continue to play. You dont have to give out the exact same thing every year - that way you keep both new and old players interested in the event.
