You're right. Any class can get to 30k hp. I didn't say that they couldn't. I just said that any class at any level could wash their hp to 30k if a tradeable elixer would be a thing. Pretty sure I don't have to tell you but, it's just that every class demands a different level of effort/funding to hp wash. By making these elixers tradeable you would flatten the hp increment across all classes. For example: mages will gain +50hp from 1 elixer and warriors would also gain +50hp. I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing. Also, I don't really understand what you mean by 'patience thing'. If by patience you mean either acquiring funding over time or saving up nx to buy apr's over time, then sure. Another explanation would be by doing hp quests daily until you reach 30k hp. Sure, patience, cuz it takes months if not years. Perhaps you are right on that the economy would be fine and gains will be marginal because people are lazy. At the same time you could use the 'lazy argument' both ways by saying that the gains will be extraordinary and super significant, especially because people are lazy and the demand will be great. I guess what I'm trying to say is I can see the benefits, but I'd suspect that the cons outweigh the pros on this suggestion.
Making the HP potion/elixir tradeable will indeed make it easier for players to gain HP quicker, but would also have unintended consequences - players would be encouraged to create mules just to get more HP potion/elixir (quest on multiple characters daily) - mage meta would be even stronger, just to get more meso to purchase the HP potion/elixir - the "required HP" for bossing could be increased to 30k, simply because it's possible to do so with tradable HP potion/elixir - hackers may join in by creating multiple mules and selling the HP potion/elixir at a cheaper price than the market rate (for quick sales) Supposed if we wanna suggest making the HP potion/elixir tradable, we should address the unintended consequences that come along with it
Yeah sorry I think this is kind of crazy. Having the HP quest at all is a nice touch, especially the buffed version we have this year. If you don't have the mesos and planning to make a 30K hp character, it means grinding it out day by day (as I do on 2-3 characters every day). I'm not sure who this change would be meant to benefit, but could seriously collapse the economy.
I remember when people said targa/ scar helmets would collapse the “bossing” economy years ago yet here we are. If y’all think the Hp quest would collapse the economy yall really don’t know what you guys are talking about. The hp quest doesn’t always guarantee 50-60hp pots. Hell the last few days I’ve been only getting the 20hp pots. It’s tedious, most people won’t go out of their way to do it, it’s an incentive to reward people for patience as regular washing will always be faster and a regular option, keep in mind washing in general is a LUXURY, people don’t want to play the “let’s party a main drk to boss” role but all in all is a luxury. It’s time consuming and can potential cost money (vip rocks/tickets/location/drop rates suck for many of the monsters’ hp quests). If people want to sell the hp pots go ahead. Who dictated that ap resets were a lead economic factor when they’re arguably one of the most hated features of maple in general xD. Gacha jackpots such as Ws/Cs will always out-factor long term Economic investments. Hell I remember when I was a new player cs and Ws were 150-200mil. I’d say let’s make them pots tradable and give people the accessibility and more options.
In my honest opinion, please do not add additional Portals and Freemarket entrances, as this would damage the worlds integrity - the same with making endgame pots available in midgame regions - this will do the same harm in my opinion, as it damages the game's logic and there is also no enemies that even require such pots there - I would not make any changes just for the lulz, if there is not a real problem and a solution to encounter them. There is already TP rocks and Fast Travel in Place, adding more portals would be a massive step in the wrong direction which is having less nostalgia on a nostalgia server, which has already quite a lot of convenience that no one had back in the days .. Also, Concentrate is very useful. It lowers mana usage and on top it provides a significant dmg boost. I use this skill all the time when I play my BM (which is my main), outside of major bosses. It is super nice to have and very usefull, even in CWPQ when doing the solo stage and ur stoppers are not nicely timed or so. It has a lot of use during all area bosses and any farming that I regularly do. Buffing Concentrate would be bad as a multi role class should not be able to contest damage dealer classes. SE is already quite usefull in itself in boss fights! Buffing Concentrate will not help any BM, as for bosses I will stopper or Apple anyway on top of the mana benefit. Also please do not make arrows rechargable, it will only break the game, cause then why are stars not dropped and usable? I would strongly suggest to not change this since there is no problem at all now, and having different mechanics makes the classes more distinct. Buffing the bird would not be useful in my opinion as it is now almost not useful for real gameplay, because any kill by the bird is ignored by the pets to encounter botters (even if u did 90% of the dmg, if the bird does the kill, its loot is ignored). What is happening now is that I do not use the bird anymore during farming (only for afk farming which it was actually meant to prevent, but now it actually promoted it as only usage for me as a legit player) as it will not help but only prevent a fluid gameplay even more! By buffing the bird, it will not help at all and only be a potential source of grief for other classes - buffs are not useful at all.
Respectfully: "y'all don't really know what you guys are talking about" right back at ya, friend. Edit: Maybe it wouldn't break the game, who knows. I wasn't around when Scarga was released, but this was a part of GMS, it seems weird that it would "break the economy", and as you say it doesn't seem to be a hot seller. I'm not sure what Zak service cost before but it's been stable at 60m for the years I've been here. So: you could be right, but there's no need be rude about it.
Endgame pots--i.e. HP potions--would harm the game? I really can't see how. Also note that I was talking about the Shao area for one of those, this is hardly a low-level region. As for the notes on the BM changes, your comments are welcomed as far as I'm concerned, hopefully some of the GMs will consider your thoughts as well!
