The point of the comparisons was to make it clear, that if you joke about breaking laws, you can get in trouble. It works the same way here. If you joke about breaking a rule, you can get in trouble. It doesn't matter if you are serious or not.

Yeah. In that scenario, the level 10 deserves to get banned, because you were asked to read the rules and agree to them before playing. You can not proceed to play without clicking agree. If you agree to the rules and then break them, you gotta stand for it. You don't have to agree with them and go somewhere else to play instead, if you rather prefer that.

Are you really whining over a 30 day ban for breaking a rule by joking about wanting to trade accounts? You should be glad it wasn’t a permanent one because we take rwt claims seriously.
Before I even joined Staff, I knew people who joked about the same thing and they got permanently nailed.
So you should count yourself lucky, honestly.

I’m sorry for being so blunt, but somebody else already explained it to you.

We have to take matters like that seriously, or else our ban appeals will be flooded with “omg you let that guy get away by saying it was a joke, so I’m gonna use that excuse too!”
That’s why we wrote it in the rules. It’s been there for years.

The whole point of the 30 day ban is to take the time to reflect on why you got it in the first place. We discussed it and saw your “joke” hence the 30 day ban and not a permanent one.

I can see this post gaining more traction in your favour, if we gave you a permanent one instead. But it’s only 30 days for doing something ignorant on your end.

You chose to make the joke, whoever reported you chose to report you. Actions have consequences both in real life and online, sorry.

The thing is, when you first sign up and register for an account, you have ticked the checkbox saying you agree with the terms and conditions of the server. Upon account creation, you are then given another opportunity to read the terms again, when the game forces you to scroll down a list of the server's rules.

Is MapleRoyals strict on rules? Yes, nobody is disagreeing you on that. Whether you read the terms or not, you cannot deny that you physically and willingly click to agree on to their terms and conditions, if not is impossible to gain access to the server. So I don't see the reason why is it their fault for your own personal actions, is not like you were randomly banned without reasons or deny you the access to read the rules again. They gave you at least 2 opportunities to read it.

Overall, this feedback holds limited credibility at all, considering you made this thread after you were reported for breaking rules. If you were making this before you were banned, you will definitely have a stronger position to stand on. To me, it seems you are unable to accept any responsibilities, as I am unable to find a sign of personal reflection or remorse on what went wrong. So far, it solely the staffs fault or projecting free speech polices based on real-life countries on to a private Maple server.

Whether you wish to quit this server and move to other servers or take this setback it a point of growth, is really up to you. I sincerely wish you will be more caution and take time to read the fine details next time. Whether is a term of a private server or future employment contract.

This thread isn't feedback, you are just using this subforum to vent your anger and frustration and being punished for violating the rules.
No sense in keeping the rant fest going.
