They want you to potentially offer more than what you were ready to sell it for.

it's worse when you"re trying to sell and you go "x mesos" and they go "holy shit, no" and just leave instead of saying what they were willing to offer.

if I can't complain about about sellers just because they sell within the rules of T&C does that mean I can't complain about people's attitudes as long as it's within the T&C as well? What in the world does the T&C have to do with this topic. And It's way more rude to just straight out say "offer" and never even give a damn reply to the person who did what you asked them to do.

Going to give an insight on this topic as a merchant.
So many people don't handle trades and negotiations in a sensible manner. Generally if someone asks a person to offer they should give a counter offer if they do not find the offer adequate. Its just the damn sensible thing to do. I dont understand why so often i start an offer at 80% and sometimes even 90% of an item's value and I dont get a counter offer or often even get a reply. I understand if they are receiving whispers left and right but most of the time that is not case. Players should also not find it offensive when a buyer asks if they can buy an already cheap item for lower. I ask for lower prices on a cheap item often and in most cases I will buy the item even if they tell me they cant give it to me any cheaper. It's fine to say you cant go any lower and its fine for me to try and get the best deal that I can. I understand of course if they are being rude you can ignore them, but in my case I always ask politely or at the very least not rude.

Players should not just lol at people for lowball pries either. Ive made 90% of my mesos through merching/scrolling for 2 years and I still dont know the prices of like 75% of the items on the market. Dont expect people to understand the value of some item that is half scrolled and understand that many players such as newer players are not familiar with how much an ele wand 6 with X tma with 3 slots left is going to cost. If you are going to be rude to them by acting like you know it all when someone like me can probably blow you out of the water on item prices, at least give them a price on the item instead of just saying "offer" and then "lol." Its not sensible to lol at someone when your the one who never named any kind of price.

Lastly lets please stop with the no "s/b no a/w no ending date" stuff. Even if your just gauging interest it makes no sense not to have s/b or at the very least dont complain about ultra lowball offers in that case

That's why I was never one to try and haggle for an item. If it wasn't at/or above the price they were asking for, they would immediately shut me out of the trade. I got sick of it after a while.

Yeah, thread speaks a lot about Merch life.
I pm-ed this guy who was selling GMA 30% using smega. Offered him 35m.
The reply i got was dreadful.

    Seller: Fuck off!

went a bit deep about how rude he was and he said i was trying to scam him. Well played.

I always try and sell a bit cheaper. If a scroll is going for 5 Mil, I sell for 4.2mil just to move it quicker. I really try and do this for bandit equips. My first character I made was a bandit and it took a while to get a dragon khanjar, the prices seem to be really random on them. I've seen clean ones up to 800 Mil and then the next day for 15 Mil. Not a lot of dits on the server and prices seem to be all over. If something doesn't sell for a day or two, I'll keep dropping the price until it does. I'm very impatient and would rather be grinding than merching. I've made 500mil the last 2 days just from NPCing the drops at Petris.

I agree with you except for the dealership part, if you walk away, more than often they are going to reel you back in to get the sale. I've done this the second time I bought my car and gotten a very good deal the second time around.
