A good start would be finally fixing the mount bug that was patched almost immediately after v83. Mounts end the Power Guard buff currently, so mounts can't be used in combat. Easy, quick fix to help with general QoL. I'm also for Rage not cancelling buffs. Sucks when you're used to habitually pressing that skill key, and it completely annihilates some guy with anger issue's entire week. We can't fix these people not telling the hero they want to use potions, then getting mad, but we can make a small change to disallow the shattering of their worlds.
I suggested making enrage boost STR, instead of w. Att, that way it can stack, as well as some def/m.def, and give like a 33% stun resistance when in enrage at max. To avoid mule abuse, enrage keeps you in the hit/alert state, so you cant eq/uneq anything during it without cancelling it Perfect solution to this completely neglected skill imo, and this way everyone can continue to use their att pot of choice Also suggested making panic temporarily blind mobs again, as well as bosses 1v1 with max ACA/max panic for like 6 seconds (it used to blind regular mobs), something like -15% acc, costs triple MP vs bosses as well as giving coma some buff so its slightly worth using, such as an mp eater effect, 10% chance to stun bosses for 2 seconds, or 15% chance to slow a boss for 5 seconds, or coma always crits a boss with max ACA and max coma, etc etc, costs triple MP vs bosses small things that would give their skills flavor and some utility instead of dead third job points https://royals.ms/forum/threads/general-warrior-feedback-useless-skills.160831/
I really like the idea that Enrage would give a STR boost instead of w.att. Moreover, I think making this a party buff would be something quite unique since it would benefit only the melee classes in the party, thus being helpful on one hand and not op on the other
As much as i regret rerolling a hero cause of the poor dps resulting from no double mastery passive (beholder, bow expert) making you hit 33k 35k then 60k 70k brandishes, buffing them serves no purpose than to force a slow and steady power creep. When heroes get buffed to do even equal dps to a drk then drks will complain 'wtf we have to work 3x as hard to get same dps wtf unfair we deserve to be stronger' then pallies go 'wtf noone plays pallies we need bigger dps than the rest to increase playerbase' and on and on it goes.
It is a fair point though; balance changes in this server has historically revolved around buffing underwhelming classes rather than nerfing overpowered classes. Especially as players in the community only grow stronger and stronger, the power creep is very real. That said, people have been asking for some love to Heroes for a while now if I remember correctly. #deleteNLs
Mapleglobal heard your complaints and made changes accordingly. flash jumps for every class, shift meta from boss to monster, every class has the fundamentally same dps. And look where you all are, an old school private server! jeez think about that
honestly, i see BB like...does this ever happened to you? someone put you in charge to finish something(whatever, food, a work, papers, etc) and you find out that it has being terrible made, so you just trhow it to the trash and start over with the same concept(happened to me today, my wife haved to run meanwhile she was making a fresh fruit juice for my son, so she asked me to finish it...it was disgusting, so i just trowed it , and made a new one) BUT you end up ruin it even more.....thats BB for me....
i think you missed his point, also, i think youre exagerating a bit, not to start that pallys are FAR from being a joke, pallys are exactly the the main job that proves for me, that the following changes have to be made out to the game itself, and not strictly the jobs, since the release of Neo tokyo, palys are considered a meta job, the relation between heros and drks have changed, but the relation between those 2 and all the other jobs..is kind of weird, so like i stated b4, beside MMs no job should be strictly buffed or nerfed(some qol changes are welcome) its the content that should encourage multitarget role now. Edit: it doesnt even have to be changes..it could be new content too
Rage: enrage teammate by cancelling their apple/heart-stopper/energizer. it's wrong to use this skill. Enrage: 4min +26att, 6min cool down. dispellable. (Energizer 30min +25 att, no cool down, un-dispellable...)
Make rage a 10 weap attack pasive and enrage stackeable with pots and reduce the CD and hero will be fix
My only prediction, despite all the interesting and fair input, is that a smart buff system will eventually be put in place, and combo/enrage/concentrate/similars will be undispellable, with possibly enrage going up a few att points. Despite hero's still playing and being a very vanilla class then and now, I unfortunately don't see much coming their way to give them a little more heroic spark, but I'd love to be wrong. I can't tell you how excited I'd be to see panic cause temp darkness, enrage getting a DR crash/ignore or smart KB effect, shout reducing 1/1 to like 250/250 if cast before a telegraphed 1/1, or for heroes to have a faster rush/magnet than paladins/drks, just something to distinguish them as heros besides brandish damage, even if niche suggestions
Hero is great. I feel like they feel underwhelming only because of the "meta" attacker classes gravitate towards. For example, I did a few levels on my hero grinding mobs and oblivion4, something I have not heard of others doing for some time on this server. Hero is the definition of straightforward and simple. You can perfect pin bigfoot, wash to 30k, and fit a slot in most runs. I feel like they're a solid jack of all trades class, and while I still get whited at krex by ranged classes 30 levels under me, only 1 shadower has taken my sweet white exp at shao. I enjoy the class, and would never say no the an added edge being given, but I feel like they far from an unplayable state and getting invited to boss runs is simple enough especially if you have a mule to offer. Just my own experience! Tldr people preferring bosses where hero is less good than other options =/= people shouldnt play it.
