I personally believe that the continuous increase in prices can be explained very simply by looking to what's happening daily in nearly every country. Inflation. Prices will always go up on any item and that's a natural effect of inflation. We have too much mesos and so we can afford to pay more. However. There's a significant change in how rapidly the price have increased lately and I personally believe this has to do with HT not allowing us to brutally destroy our mesos to failing (Gene30 F5) skillbooks. I won't speculate too much on wether the prices on AP reset or rare gacha items will drop after a HT fix, but I'm certain that the pace in which items increase in price will slow down. Interesting theories from other people in this thread though. I believe several to be partially correct, but neglecting how relevant it is to have a natural meso-drain ingame. Valuable skillbooks is such a drain. I believe this is the main reason why the Royals team should make fixing HT top priority on their to-do list (If it isn't already). Though I'm not saying they're giving me the impression that they are doing a lousy job. I still admire their work!
Lol, skill books such as the ones from ht are in no way a meso sink. It just transfers the mesos from one player to another. The problem here is Botting, hacker and rwting (and the auto ban system not implemented yet )
Trust me, we are looking into it, and inflation is likely a part of the issue. We've added logs recently to figure out where mesos are coming from, how much is being sunk, etc. With those we have already worked out the rate of inflation, which is currently 1%.

I still believe that fixing HT will bring some sort of balance into the economy though, if not for any other reason then cause we have more items to spend our mesos on. @Matt I'm sure. I think that's under the assumption the vote abusers just sell AP reset and not do anything with their billions and billions of illegal mesos. Sure the supply on ap reset may go down, which may drive the ap reset up. However, on the other hand, white Scrolls and chaos Scrolls in FM won't be collected and wiped out by those illegals. When they buy out all the ws/cs at 500m, people will naturally raise the price; the cycle repeats and the ws/cs prices continue to increase.

Last relevant game update; about three weeks ago. Current prices have stagnated, from what I see and hear, but have not gone back to historic normal. To staff; what changes can we expect to see next in regards to the ongoing issue?
Some changes that are likely going to influnce some change in the economy are coming in the next update. We can't provide any more information than that.
