This new "telecasting" delay NEEDS to not be a thing.

    ''a side effect we are fine with''? Say for yourself. I already died two times cause of this delay, i wasnt able to heal myself in time, and just gave up leveling cause its terrible (in coolies especially) when we need to teleport and heal, or just heal when doing something else.

    That doesn't sound like a very good situation, and not one I was familiar with would be a problem.
    When you say teleport and heal, do you mean using a potion? There should not any delays on potions, besides actions like using skills being delayed because you use one.

    No, the skill heal. Also happens when using shining ray and trying to use skill heal. Its delayed and i need to try healing when my HP is in like 50%, cause it takes a while to work

    Also, you said that it wasnt intentional, and the stop telecasting was a side effect, but why is it written on the patch, in the ''bug fixes'' part that ''The act of “telecasting” is no longer possible.'' like it was a bug and you guys fixed it?

    That makes sense, I can see why in certain situations you would survive because of it.

    Telecasting isn't something we have added intentionally, and it's a side effect from the removal of the restrictions the client is supposed to use. It was also fixed in the patch, it just didn't work out as we had hoped for.
    So yes it's a bug, but it was still unintentionally fixed alongside a different problem, which we didn't mention since it isn't something that should be noticed anyways.
    (Before anyone asks, we don't consider it glitch abuse and are not banning players who do it, unless the way to do it breaks other rules, like using 3rd party macros.)

    That is the problem we are looking into fixing, those delays are way too much, and it just results in clunky gameplay which wasn't our intention.

    Can you give the server IP? So i can ping it. Latency has been much better for me, but looting has been a bit weird.

    looting is so much worse now. I played JMS while living in the US for 2 years and it was never this laggy. When I walked across a pile of drops holding pickup, it would eventually pick them all up without me stopping, but right now i have to stop in place and go back over to get every drop.

    i think that video shows exactly what most people here are talking about. Its the same delay for pretty much anything, whether its looting or using a skill. Thank you for the update that you also see the delay is too much and is a problem you are looking into fixing :)

    This applies to dropping and picking up items/mesos, as a CB it just takes twice as long to drop for BF kills

    By "side effect we are fine with," Andreas was referring to the removal of telecasting, not you dying from lag.

    Have to wait 5 seconds between using roar and doing anything other than waiting for the "recovery" to end...
    Literally, I use dragon's roar and then I've got 5 seconds of unable to move/use potion/etc.

    Took me 33 minutes to slay Papulatus without nearly dying every time I came out of dark sight, which there's also the issue of being able to potion use when coming out.

    How is this "side effect" acceptable to you. You literally broke pretty much every class in the game.

    Recently I watched a Chinese drama in which a convict yelled at the king ''you evil man, you'd rather kill someone that could be innocent than risk the chance of letting a bad guy get away''.
    It reminded me of this telecasting fix fiasco, everyone is getting trolled because they felt the need to punish/fix something nobody cares about.
    Meanwhile HP washing with free vote NX which isn't ''real maplestory'' either is still rampant and far more gamebreaking. Well this is just my useless opinion on the matter, peace. [:D]

    As iEatEmoKids has said in the post right before yours, this "side effect" that Andreas mentioned was referring to the removal of the act of telecasting, not the delay that is occurring after doing certain actions. In fact, if you scroll up a bit, Andreas said:

    It seems that the delay from npcing equips have been lessened, while everything else is still broken. I hope this is not the maximum extend they are willing to fix but rather a sign of progress on more fixes to come

    Dropping and looting is a huge problem imo but also the fact that you can't smoothly play a nightlord anymore.
    A thief with high mobility and quick attack speed meant to be played at a fast pace jumping around flash jumping with max speed and jump throwing 6 stars. You can't do that anymore. There is a huge delay that makes you unable to smoothly and fluidly jump around flash jumping and using TT. Takes away all the experience of playing a nightlord, its time to go back to my warrior. :(

    Ok, so they were trying to fix mesos drop being exploited, and the solution was to add a delay between skills, which resulted in telecast amongst other things not being possible anymore. So right now, the cons out weighs the pros and they will try to fix this issue in the new client.

    Just for clarification, was telecasting not possible in pre bb gms? Afaik it was, and should be kept in the game just like hp washing if possible. I could be wrong though.

    Died so many times because i couldn't flashjump/jump and shoot.. Good way to sell safety charms!

    At apq gate stage if you hug the gate its start spamming that message the entry is not available, its avoiding attacking cause of the delay issue and you have to keep moving abit left so you could continue attacking.
