    Hello everyone,

We have received reports from players who are unable to hold certain keys (Alt/Shift/Ctrl) to cast skills continuously.

This issue is not caused by a recent MapleRoyals patch.
It is related to a recent Windows 11 update (KB5083769), which may affect how key inputs are handled.

To work around this issue, you may try the following:
    • Temporarily bind your skills to other keys that are not affected.
    • Adjust the relevant settings via Registry Editor (advanced users only):
Warning: Please proceed carefully when using Registry Editor, as incorrect changes may affect your system.
    1. Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter
    2. Navigate to:
      Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Accessibility\Keyboard Response
    3. Set the following values:
      • DelayBeforeAcceptance = 0
      • Flags = 59
      • AutoRepeatDelay = 500
      • AutoRepeatRate = 30
      • BounceTime = 0
    4. Restart your PC or log out for the changes to take effect
    • As a last resort, you may uninstall the Windows update (KB5083769).
We will continue to monitor the situation, but at this time the issue appears to be system-related rather than game-related.

    Thank you.

I thought it was related to TIM's new rules as unintentional.

That is, to prevent users from leaving an object on a key and thus prevent robotic gameplay.

I was going to make a thread, but I got lazy.

Thanks for your great research, you're awesome!

    I'll correct it tomorrow.

I want to say that the solution you gave didn't solve anything.

I unchecked everything, but it still didn't fix the problem.

So I had to uninstall the update, and that solved the problem.

Now Microsoft is going to hear from me, because every Tuesday of every month they always leave errors with the cumulative updates they release for Windows 11.

    Hi,

I have updated the main post after confirming with other players:
    • Removed the Filter Keys steps, as they did not resolve the issue
    • Added Registry Editor steps as an alternative workaround (please proceed with caution)
    Thank you for your feedback.

it should be pointed out that those changes will affect the entire windows not just for royals ( and in some case make it even worse such as word/excel related work)

also not sure how other fixed (or maybe didn't even affect em ) after the window update, only royals client from what i can see is haveing this issue

the most clean temp fix i found is filter key changes that can be easy reversed and i wrote in https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ctrl-alt-shift-cant-be-spamed-just-in-royals.256279/
