1. Expedition parties with fewer than 6 members For expedition bosses, when the registered party size is less than 6 players, the number of players from the same class cannot exceed party size / 2. Examples: 4 players → max 2 of the same class 5 players → max 2 of the same class 2. Expedition parties with 7–12 members For expedition bosses, when the registered party size is 6–12 players, the number of players from the same class cannot exceed party size / 3. Examples: 6 players → max 2 of the same class 9 players → max 3 of the same class 12 players → max 4 of the same class the rule is intended to encourage more diverse party compositions and reduce excessive class stacking. 3. Encourage mage participation For expedition bosses, if magic damage > 50% of the boss's total HP, drop rate +20%. Encourage mages to join boss runs and increase class diversity. 4. Balance physical-heavy parties For expedition bosses, if physical damage > 80% of the boss's total HP, drop rate -50%. Improve fairness between main mage-focused and main boss-focused gameplay, while reducing the advantage of physical-only party compositions.
Pls this is unhinged feedback thread we can go more unhinged. Highlander Expeditions: there can be only one. If more than one character of a given class joins an expedition, then all characters of that class have to fight to the death until only one remains. Those who died have that character banned until reset (other accounts are fine). Then, make a global announcement whenever a boss run sign up starts and allow anyone who wants to sign

Ok it's been long enough, we need to rethink paladins in this game. In every fantasy game, paladins are holy warriors that have the ability to not only shield damage, but also heal themselves and others. In mapleroyals, paladins are icy firey thundery hoyl bois that somehow have the ability to let their allies pierce a shield???? So I suggest the following: Remove fire, ice and Thunder charge and make the whole game holy weak (no one plays I/L and F/P anyway, and bishop definitely needs buffs). This leaves room for multiple new skills so we can move guardian, Achilles and stance to third job. They are more Knightly than paladinly anyway and this gives us room to add three new skills in fourth job: Ardent defender. This skill makes all monsters aggro you instead of your party members, allowing you to save their puny lives like the holy boi you are. Blessing of protection. This skill makes a party member completely invulnarable to any and all damage for 10 seconds. However, during this time they cannot use any attacks or skills. A small price to pay for being blessed by the holiest of bois. Consecration. You burn the ground beneath you with holy energy for 8 seconds, dealing damage to all enemies in the area every second. BubbleHearth. Automatically activates when it looks like you might die, instead you become invulnarable for 10 seconds whole slowly casting a teleport to the nearest town. Remove crash because wth would being holy let your allies penetrate some weird shield thingy. Instead we can give paladins a heal that heals someone to full while costing all your mana and having a 10 minute cooldown. The ultimate sacrifice (unless you have hp/mp pots but fr, in this economy who does?) It's time to make paladins real holy and allow them to die for your sins again instead of just these weird elemental hybrid bois.
Instead of running events throughout the year just have all events active during anniversary and only during anniversary.
Dying has no real penalty if you have safety charm which only costs 700NX. Make your char look more zombier-like with every death and have the following permanent penalties: 1st death: Weakened from your first ever resurrection in town - 15% HP and MP 2nd death: Further weakened and feeling chonic nausea - 10% All Stats 3rd death: Cannot comprehend human language anymore nor have complex thoughts. All text in chat box will appear with weird signs, so you cannot communicate or trade anymore nor participate in GM events. 4th death: Ghastly look with a mindless brain. You do friendly damage so you wont be accepted in parties. Also 2 random skills from each job advancement will be permanently sealed. 5th death: Permanent death, char gets deleted. 2 perma deaths on 1 account gets your account deleted for being a noob. Hell, IP ban too so they can go play online UNO or something. --- Due to death being a huge penalty, new services will be on demand: Bishops will stay on your party and TP anywhere necessary to ress you before the 10 mins limit time so you can avoid any penalties. Service is called "BS x-hours insurance" ... was this unhinged? Or more hinged than anything.
I've actually considered the idea of a "hardcore" char. If they die once, you cannot play them anymore for content, they can still be storage mules though. All gear equipped (including NX) cannot be used or sold but you can drop it for others if you want. Not sure if I'll ever do it but it seems like it might make the game more interesting.
Any time a character reaches 200 that account is autobanned for 1 month to allow the player to touch grass.
