    As far as I know the elevator has always worked. But the visual effect of it was always the same regardless. It would always display as "open" even if the elevator wasn't there, and you would get the regular error message when trying to enter the elevator. It would however make a "doors opening" animation whenever the situation changed, like it arrived or departed and it was always the same for each of the 4 minute loops.

    So what exactly has been fixed about it?

    It had been disabled for a couple days and was re-enabled.
