That post was just in reply to some dickhead that kept on bitching about how bad A/Ms were, and how overpowered bishops were (sounds like he picked the wrong class right?). It was primarily to put some perspective on how "overpowered" all mage classes were considered at the time in gms; hence the removal of ultimates soon after. I obviously don't think removing them is a good idea in the slightest for this server.
