Hello, I am having trouble with installing mapleroyals on my VMware player. I am new to VM so I followed this guide https://royals.ms/forum/threads/how...graphical-glitches-closing-your-client.16643/. When my VMware is launched and I'm going to internet explorer, I try to go to mapleroyals site for the download. I can't reach the website and get the following message in my Internet explorer: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". I think it has something to do with me not being able to install the VMware tools. When I try to hit the button "Install Tools" it gives the following error: "Could not find component on update server. Contact VMware Support or your system administrator." I followed the guide mentioned above exactly as it says. Hope someone can help me out! (Also posted on discord) Kind regards, Broken Caps
go back into your IE search engine and download chrome/firefox and use that web browser instead that will fix it. once you have done that use this link Index of /45848/tools/esx/6.0p04/windows/x86 and download the 3rd option, and put that into your vm's setting for cd/dvd option and double click it inside " MY PC " which should allow you to dl vm tools can use this thread as a bit of a guide https://royals.ms/forum/threads/vm-ware-issue.145263/#post-858129
Thanks a lot for the reaction man! I got the tip for firefox as well and it worked. The reason that I couldn't install VM tools is just stupid from my part. I used a guide from 5 year old, with 5 year old links.. So I used version 6.0 instead of 15.5. Using the new version solved the problem for VM tools! Thanks again for your reaction
