Levelling without leech. Grinding. Putting on some extended mix and zoning out for a bunch of hours with new friends I made as I entered a grinding map. I mean, that's what I miss. Waiting for CPQ and other PQs so I can fully grind my way up with people again.
I really enjoy planning my builds. Making them look nice, minmaxing as much as I can, getting them above average. Currently fighting back the urges to make another Ironman or do quest specialist for the third time haha.
As a character who is not HP washing, the game is enjoyable! I just got to level 70 on my thief and became a Hermit. I’ve been trying to do a lot of quests so I can eventually earn my quest specialist medal. Additionally, whenever I see a new player having technical issues asking questions in the chatbox, I do my best to help them because I want MapleRoyals to grow. The more new players we have who can actually play are more new players who are likely to stay.
The community that royals have. Nothing beats the joy of doing something similar with strangers and becoming friends. Theres so much things you can do once u have a community group of friends to do things together. Perhaps spending that 500mil splits of Horntail on an chaos scroll, calling everyone to fm for that scrolling risk excitment ? You won't earn or lose much mesos from it, but u truly earn smiles and laughter. That keeps me playing, and laughing!
I agree. I did a whole bunch of that in previous April Fools... and even in daily occasions towards my guildies. I also like the fact that MapleRoyals is a nice balance between vintage and modern MapleStory. It's not like ExtaliaMS which has, in my opinion, overpowered classes and bosses... the whole "doing over 500k damage in a single attack," super quick leveling, and all characters having mobility never really interested me. It's also not like MapleBeta which is a dreaded 1x/1x/1x rate server with nothing but old skool items and bosses. I joined MapleStory around 2006 but I was more interested in it between 2008-2010; I liked it, but the one thing I didn't necessarily enjoy was the slow leveling. MapleRoyals manages to make the leveling fair and challenging simultaneously. Additionally, the NX equipment, faces, and hairstyles in GMS are included in this server as well--meaning we don't have to be limited to vintage avatars.
Idk It would be alot more enjoyable if HP washing was removed. I want to make a NL like back when i played pre BB but i made a bishop to fund him for hp washing and at this point im kinda burnt out.
I enjoy using other people’s personal image(s) as my forum default and possibly drawing dicks on it if it suits the picture. **yes, forums is part of Royals.
I like to listen to podcasts when I mindlessly grind. It helps me stay productive because I wouldn't listen to podcasts otherwise. And of course talking to the guild
