From the looks of the past few posts, I'm guessing that my musical tastes are a bit different than a lot of those here, but I suppose I'll post this anyway. Here's some King's X, a somewhat hidden gem to arise from the late 80s-early 90s, and a band I've been listening to a lot as of late (if you couldn't already figure that out from my IGN/signature...) Their vocal harmonies are simply impeccable, and the inimitable guitar/bass tones of Ty Tabor and Doug Pinnick respectively make them a truly unique and distinctive power trio. There are many more than 30 songs I'd recommend in a heartbeat, but here's one that's been stuck in my head as of late. I love the way that the bass lines and drop-d guitar riffs complement each other and contrast with the lighter, more atmospheric moments in this song. The way their three-part vocal harmonies come in just feels so good and gives this song a very ethereal, otherworldly sound. Even if I listen to a King's X song or album three + times a day, I know that every time I can pick out and hear something new--and that's the mark of great music. This is an essential band to hear for anyone who's even remotely into anything metal/funk/gospel/prog/folk/grunge-related; their sheer eclecticism is a testament to their greatness and flexibility. Maybe in the coming months I'll find some other more metal-ish bands to listen to like I usually do, but for now it's hard to satiate my King's X craving
Some good kpop. The lyrics were lip-synched by the music video actors/actresses. hair slicked back, muscles bulging, I'm superman!
