I'd love to see Von Leon and PB being hard/impossible to mule in, because you WILL die if you're not actively paying attention and dodging attacks. Actually tough bosses that you can't just sleep while fighting are very much needed. CPQ1 is a ton of fun, but I hate CPQ2 so much. Although I guess coolies/mp3 are alright for grinding 50-70, it's what I did. 110-120 could really use something, my advice to new players is save up mesos and leech through that. EPQ exp also seemed decent, so maybe just opening that up a bit sooner would be nice?
You are right I think that suggestion was for WoW and decided to add it here xd But yeah, I need more mecanical bosses that don't require only having 30k hp and holding down a key
The main reasons I quite the server over a year ago: multi-client and leeching. Those two things alone make not want to play the game anymore.
I don't think the admins will budge on blocking skills in PQs, but I wonder if it's possible to at least allow Maple Warrior. I have encountered players who are deterred from PQing (or have asked to quit midway through a PQ) to avoid missing out on MP gains.
Set damage cap to 250k. Helps Paladins a bit and helps Marksmen (the class that can currently best be described as "exists, I guess") to be more relevant. Tiny nerfs to buccs and shads, and a tiny buff to Heroes. Like, a 5% change in dps potential. Just to bring them in line with the other classes. Not too much though, Heroes had their near-decade of supremacy already and its very nice to see other classes get a chance to shine for once. Dramatically improve Angel Ray, Paralyze, and Chain Lightning. I don't want magicians to be on par with other bossing DPS, magicians already have their own niche, but it would be really nice if their single target* damage abilities actually did notably more single target dps than their ultimates. At least make it feel like a super high level magician can handle a simple boss like Manon or Dodo on their own without dying of old age. A complete revamp of quest exp rewards. Sort all quests into Easy, Medium, Hard, and Epic difficulties. Then, based on the level of the quest (or more accurately the level of the thing you have to kill for the quest), the quest just gives xp based on a %. For example, an easy level 20 quest would give 10% of the xp needed for a level 2o to level up, a medium 20%, a hard 30%, and an epic 40%. An easy level 100 quest gives 10% of the xp for a level 100 to level up, and so on. This would be pretty subjective and take a lot of boring spreadsheet work, but it would be a massive improvement. The current rewards for quests seem like they were picked out of a hat by a drunken illiterate bear. Some are perfectly fine, but some quests that take hours give you like 320 xp and a blue potion. Halve the respawn time of Pianus. Seriously, I can find just about every other boss in the game without too much trouble but in all my years on Royals I think I've only been able to find Pianus ONE TIME. Communist revolution More ways for the new and poor to earn money from the old and rich. Something where you can make a stable income and the only factor is time investment, not how strong you are. Sort of like a minimum wage, if you will. NX voting is obviously one way to do this, but that's only good for ~25m a day. Make SP reset cards cost 10x as much NX but reset ALL your skill points. Seriously, is there that much harm in letting someone respec? What would it even cost for someone like a level 130 paladin or hero to respec from swords into blunt weapons/axes? You'd need like a million NX, it makes it completely impractical. More meso sinks. A new gach machine, playable by 4th job characters once per day (or maybe week or even month), that takes 1 Billion Meso coin to play. And it pays out with... uh... shallow platitudes. Kidding. Maybe random RP equips? Stacks of Chocolate Gelt? NX cards? XP/Drop rate bonus cards? Hard to think of something that wouldn't completely upend the economy, but I still think it's a good idea. Finally, add the Evan class but only for me.
1. Get rid of multi-clienting. So many classes are being made redundant with everyone running mules. 2. Leeching has to be nerfed. Players should be encouraged to level up their characters by playing them as intended, not hanging from a rope wearing owl masks.
Boss PQ! :] Get points the way you do in dojo, but those can be traded for apples/resets/NX. Make it a once a day thing, no multiclienting and you don't get rewards if you don't deal a minimum amount of damage. :3 Also make chaos scrolls drop again from monsters that did in GMS, but make the droprate eeeextremely low.
Add: A saloon system like @Inugami suggested would be great. Changing appearance from time to time would be a lot of fun, but when you can't save a look that you got from REG coupons not having an option to go back aside from respamming coupons and hoping to get it fast is really discouraging. More classes: It's a bit counter intuitive since this is an old school server, but I think adding some new classes would be nice. There are classes that have become old school in themselves (like KoC and Aran) but more importantly they offer unique game mechanics like Aran's and Thunder Breaker's skill combos. There also seem to be quite a demand for it. Then again, I just really like TB, Aran and Cannoneer so I'm biased. Another option is to add only the expantion classes for the explorers (Cannoneer, Dual Blade, and Pathfinder (but the last one will require some rebalancing)). It doesn't really effect the game since it doesn't add plot and such but still will give some more options Item anvil: There are some equipment items that look great (like the Calas robes of a magician (level 48 overall) and I would really like to have them as a more permanent look (especially since bishops need to go lukless which means we don't use most of the equipment). Theme dungeons: They are a good way to level up and spice things up more than just grinding and I think that is highly welcome. Change: Remove the Zakum jumping quest: While it is nostalgic, it is awful and everyone hates it. Rethink luk requirements for mages: Like @ilyssia said, because almost all mages go lukless, they can't wear most of their equipment and the end result is really strange. Rethink quest rewards: Like @Tidy has suggested, if quests would be more rewarding they can become the main way to level up which will make use of more maps (instead of staying in grinding maps only) and can encourage party play (for example, if you need to kill 500 mobs, then working with friends will be beneficial to all). Overall I really enjoy this server but I hope my suggestions will be taken into consideration
Party quest token to be able to exchange for hp rewards, and just more rewards in party quest token exchange shop in general. Would incentivise both new and old players to PQ
Oh! If you could add a button that closes the gaps in an inventory section that would be great. It's really annoying that if you sell stuff or maxed out potions you have to then drag all the equipment one by one from the bottom.
