Hello everyone. This is probably going to be one of those things that not going to be implemented because of the drastic change of the nature of the game, but the discussion will be interesting. I already know that the client cannot support more than 30k HP (people have already discussed it), but, I know that other things can be altered. From HP Washing guide by Pheelo: We can see that all the HP gain per level is divisible by 2. Therefore we can let people receive half the HP they originally have gotten (Beginners 4-6, Warrior 25-27, Thief 10-12, Bowman 8-10, Magician 3-5, Pirate 8-10) Also cut in half the HP gained from HP washing (I'll let you do the math), and then every damage taken will be halved as well which will make total HP increase (If HT touch dmg was 20k then after this change it will be only 10k). This way 30K will effectively become 60K. How to handle people who have already washed to 30k? Cut their HP in half! and then based on trust system / evidence they will say at which level the reached 30K so they can get the extras, or let them live with the change. Why is it good? 1. 30K Limit on client won't limit us! WE WANT MORE HP!!! FUDGE THE SYSTEM! 2. Many people have already washed to 30k and maybe want the challenge to now wash to 60K (30K after the changes take effect). 3. people will enjoy PB more? Why is it bad? 1. Need to think through all the consequences (maybe change the DK achiless buff? or rework it completely. Battleship hp should be changed as well, change fixed pots values - red pot give 25HP, white pot gives 150HP .... just to name a few) 2. Remove the survivability challenge for players who washed all the way Notes: Can also be done to MP (for magicians). If you like this idea then in the comments try to write all the changes to the game (such as HP from items should also be cut etc...). Thank you! please don't roast me if this idea is terrible
Example. You now have 18K hp. (18 out of 30 possible) A bigfoot gives 12K damage (now) AFTER UPDATE You have 9K HP (out of 30 possible) A bigfoot gives 6K damage (AFTER THE SUGGESTED UPDATE). If you are really interested in the thread, please write what is not clear about it. I really can't guess.
Well you wrote down how, but not strong enough why :S. I know dark knights would benefit from this. But is there any other need for people to have higher hp? This change would buff magic guard and mesos guard so much you’d get “120k” shadowers, but then if you nerf the skill, suddenly every shad gets a hp nerf.
this change would only benefit those who go for over "the new 15k hp", which would be a very small population in the server, and allow them to sap out any last challenge this game has to offer by trivializing boss runs with a theoretical invincibility. with 60k hp, you won't be any different than a god-mode hacker that dies from nothing, that's not healthy for the game in the slightest. (id argue that 30k non tank classes is not healthy for the game either but we are stuck with that one)
I think it's easier to just nerf the boss's damage, instead of reducing all sources of HP gain by 50%
The problem with that would be that everyone will get buffed (against bosses). My solution keeps everyone in their state but gives more HP to farm. 120k HP potentially shadowers. Don't forget that u need to wash the WHOLE 30k to get that, and it would be twice as hard. In my opinion twice as hard should be twice as rewarding. There is no reason for "why" it's just 30K has been easily reached by so many players so long ago and I saw discussions about increasing max HP, whether it is to buff DKs or whatever reasons. My point is that there is a way to effectively increase max HP without actually changing the number 30k. It is opened for discussion. It would also benefit DKs and people who washed above 9.5K HP or 19K HP (before the change). 30K HP at the moment with potions and buffs like meso guard is already broken, but hard to achieve 60K should also be extremely hard to achieve (people keep forgetting this) and it should be as rewarding as you say. If 60K sounds like too much, we can also increase to smaller values. Although things aren't so divisible we can divide everything by 3/2 and increase effective max hp by 3/2 and get 45K effective max hp.
