Notice Staff Changes

    Hello Royallers,
    Our first staff change for today is the departing of @Chee
    Most of you know her as the friendly GM event-supporting staff member but we also got to know her for her hard work on difficult cases and her continuous hunting and stopping of cheaters in game behind the scenes. For this we would like to thank Chee for her contributions to MapleRoyals to make the game a better place during her time as a staff member.

    Do note that Chee didn't choose to retire and was banned on all their accounts for breaking staff rules by using her GM abilities to aid her normal characters in gameplay. The game economy hasn't been affected by this misuse of power.

    In other news @Gert noticed we were short-staffed so he decided to contribute to MapleRoyals once more as he has taken the role as GM back up again to help the community, Welcome back Gert!

    I'm sorry, what?

    I was told in a previous post by Joong that formal thank yous were reserved for "all Staff members, interns or not, as long as they leave on good terms and don’t breach our trust or internal Staff rules". Note that Matt, Alan, Becca, Kenny, and Dasha liked the post, so I can somewhat assume that these staff members also agree with the above bolded.

    With this formal thank you to Chee, is it now implied that "breaking staff rules by using her GM abilities" is leaving on good terms? Is it assuming that trust was not broken by Chee? Becca's most recent post on this thread implies otherwise. How did this post get approved by staff when so many on staff agreed to the sentiment in the above bolded?

    Also, how is this situation any different from what happened with June? Both Chee and June were removed from Staff, with all of their privileges revoked. But Chee has gotten a formal thank you from staff and June did not? Is it because June didn't have enough significant contribution on staff?

    This is all a fucking joke.
