Boss mobs can't have a HP bar above them. They could only have a Boss HP bar at the top, and I'm not sure how well that would work with lots of players attacking different mobs.

Oh it's classified as boss mob? Oof that's new to me

Ye it would be difficult to see cuz we usually attack grouped monsters, but still doable

Is there anyway to make it like a normal mob hp bar?

Didnt know it was a boss mob~f6

in any case, i think the bar on top is also ok right, since we can roughly gauge the hp. I think cwkpq is like this too.

I think hp bars at the top would jump around like crazy. What would be the downside of classifying them as normal mobs?

Off the top of my head it might be on hit effects like Venom stars for NL, Taunt (for extra drop and exp) and shadow web. Perhaps some other skills like mortal blow for the culling effect, and doom which would be pretty big.

Not saying any of these are necessarily bad but it might be a little too op for an already good area

Could also lock certain skills in LHC as in Auf Haven if they currently do not have any effect there.

So classify the mobs as normal mobs, add HP Bars and lock all skills which wouldn’t work on bosses.
No one will miss what wasn’t even possible in the first place.

This would involve blocking ice, poison, stuns, some crowd-control skills, not to mention the passives which we already mentioned above. Quite a lot, in other words. Some of this wouldn't chime with elemental weaknesses or core gameplay of certain classes. Is it worth it to gain small HP bars over mobs heads?

Nope, although it would’ve been cool if there was a way. Thanks for considering and pointing out the reasons.

From your response here I take it that mobs can only be classified as a boss or as a regular mob, and no sort of hybrid? In other words, is it impossible to create an entirely new "class" of mobs which have all the characteristics of bosses, but also have a mob HP bar?
    -------
I thought about this suggestion for a bit. I run LHC pretty much daily. While it would be nice for these mobs to have HP bars, with our current crowd control strategies in place I don't see this really helping or changing our methodologies. Visibility is also an issue. One can see an example of this in Shao, where the HP bars of clones are next to impossible to see with just two attackers. I think the boss HP bars would just be screen clutter (and unwelcome in my opinion.)

I'm okay with never having HP bars for these mobs, but if it is possible that would be neat.

Off the top of my head, I don't think so, as the client wouldn't be aware of such a thing, and I don't think it would be among the more feasible things to edit/add into the client.

Since I’ve tested FP poison on shaolin summon mobs, poison only deals max 30k per tick and does not bring their hp to 1 in 40 seconds, so we can take the issue of poison out.
