Which warrior is the best choice in this game?

Drk is a lot of fun and I love playing it!
Even though we are not viable at some bosses and people will typically prioritize other classes haha

My first main is Dark Knight, trained to 160 gave up, and made myself a hero. Never going back to Drk life.

 

From Observation: Heroes > Paladin > Drk

My opinion: Bucc > Hero > Paladin/Drk(if you can manage well)

 

i gotta say
drk is a great choice for a new player who has no funding, and is gonna self train all the way up
hybrid drks don't cost much, they train fast from 3rd job all the way up to 140 ish
that was how i started here in this server, with a drk, not the archmages or bishops are per the server meta

then i made a hero
it was hell trying to train up the from fighter -> crusader -> 130 hero
the journey was painful, with power strike and slash blast feeling like trash all the way up
the mobbing and reach was trash compared to dragon fury and spear crusher
early brandish was kinda meh

but when 130 came for my hero
brandish ez life begins, long reach and high damage
20 stance + 10 ACA after that for more ez life (approx level 140)
the maxed brandish + maxed ACA + maxed power stance + power guard + hp washed life is too easy to a point that it was easy to watch friends stream, youtube, anime, etc. and not worries on survival

as for damage, i can personally tell you that for the same funding, you get slightly more damage out of heroes
but the low supply of STS makes it hard to even buy a decent one ._.

my recommendation for a new player, is to play drks for the ease of training early on, early game utility, low washing requirements, and more engaging gameplay
if i started the server as a hero (which i was contemplating when i was choosing my 2nd job adv), i would have probably found it too boring that i would have made a NL main and join the NLstory + archmage/bishop meta

however, if you would like an even more challenging play with more engagement with the game
i would recommend playing hero + BM multiclient
its gonna be EXTREMELY painful to get to 4th job for 2 characters simultaneously for a new player
but i would recommend this as a change of pace for training the hard way from crusader -> hero by alternating to play the BM
the early part of 4th job heroes will feel like TRASH, so the BM is there to support self leech up a little
the early bossing could be handled by the BM alone for more self leech

then the fun part begins when the hero is no longer trash, and you can dual client play - scroll down a little to see how to use hurricane in multiclients

you will effectively get more firepower for not too much effort

 

It all depends on your preference.
If you want a lazy playstyle = Hero
If you want a challenging playstyle = Dark Knight
If you want a dynamic playstyle = Paladin

All these negative comments about Drk will empower the Drk Buff feedback. Y'all are doing a good job, keep it going!

 

Not too sure about Paladins, but if you have no funding, I'd recommend playing a Hero.
As a Dark Knight, I still get out-damaged by a Hero friend who has 1/6th of my net worth in gear, when killing Krexel. Even with Speed Infusion and Berserk on the whole time.

DRKKKKKK UR OP LHC/CWK And better then hero in HT

 

Pally is more versatile. Good party buffz better single target. Has a very nice map atrack.
Hero is stronger specifically in cleave content like CWK/Zak and maybe solo grinding (both are amazing for it tbh).
DK is basically a slightly stronger but high effort Hero. If you really love grinding and cleaving with DK, Hero might actually suit you better. But be prepared to be rejected from boss runs by the tryhards...

 

Paladin

 

Hero is my first attacker in the game till I open a future Bucc for more daily bosses.
Self "leeched" myself to lvl 95 at zombies when I farmed zombie tooth with my bs as a Priest, then captain latanica stopper runs till 110, Gallopera self leech to 120 and to skip the annoying weak Brandish levels without ACA I did 1-2 apple bigfoot kills and easily power leveled to 135 without any good gear.

Washing a Hero is also easy, got to 27k hp at lvl 162 without much effort /fundings (5 apr's every 5 lvls from lvl 50 is easy) and with the remaining lvls and 5 olaf quests I can get to 30k without to use a single APR.

As for contents I can run any boss I desire with friends and guildies so content rejections by few minutes savers isn't relevant.

My first 4th job char as a kid was a Hero and I enjoyed with much worse damage & gear and knowledge how to play it so I enjoy the gameplay indeed.

 

Let me add that DK is only proven to be stronger when various conditions are met, i.e. fully buffed with party skills (SE/SI/Echo), using high attack potions (stopper, apple, gelt) and at relatively high levels of funding (40+ CGS). Hero is stronger when self buffed, at lower to mid levels of funding. So if you like soloing content, Hero would be a solid choice for a first character. Just be prepared for the difficult/boring levels (3rd job until early 4th job) and find a way to get through them, like TotalEclipse said.

 

As a DK main I would tell you this about DK:

DK is a good choice if you want some challenge, in second job it can cast an usefull skill: HB. (More hp/mp) Great for making everyone in your party more HP.

So in early warrior (Spearman) you already be usefull for example : Ludi pq and CPQ (HB) , and lower content just to train.

Third job comes the grind, You want spear crusher maxed asap because this will be your main skill for always.

Also, in third job you have some other usefull skills like power crash( Later very good for canceling Rose gardens boss defence up).

Now the challenge:
4th job:
As a DK you always want to play at 50% HP or less, because it doubles your damage.
Use dragon roar to decrease your HP to 50% or less and set potions (pet) at for example 9k (Milk) or 10k (Cheese)

DK is best choice for CWKPQ, as it can kill bottom bosses (3x hit 3x) so you are very usefull in high level.
Also, DK is best choice in end game( RG) as it can be (When geared) Always get 20 bees (Exchange for reward) and you have beholder (Which heals you a bit +Attack buff/acc/defence/magic defence/avo)

I know DK in early game is a bit boring, and you need to grind, but when you reached your goal and a high lvl DK you would be happy you made that choice.

Also note that you are pretty always wanted in zakum runs( HB) and can hit 3 arms (3x) and therefore it's the best choice for melee(Hitting more monsters)

Pala and Hero are also good of course, but if you want a challenge , want to be usefull in party and have the time to grind it's the best choice.
