Hello folks, I came back to this server after more than a year and it just seems like everything has changed, no command works anymore, I can not use my mount, access frederick, go to the cash shop, besides my guild Have disappeared, I also noticed that some of my items disappeared, for example a chaos scroll that at the time was worth 700m +/- Could some charitable soul help me get back to that server? My English is not one of the best, but I think I can communicate.
Welcome back to Royals. As you have been around for the previous year, you should be aware of the concept, "New Source". MapleRoyals is currently implementing a new source code, which uses a v86 client with v62 content. Everything was built from scratch, so the 'new source' should be better than the 'old source'. For details about the development of the new source, see here. However, the server is currently unstable, and the staff are trying their best to fix the problems. Here is a list of features, which are disabled at the moment, but will be restored at a later date. As you read through the new source updates in the announcement, you will find certain features also do not work. You can also see what other bugs there are in this post. If you find further bugs, report them here. Also, fyi, right before the old source was taken down, chaos scroll is worth about 300-310m. For the items which disappeared, if they were placed on the last 4 slots of your inventory, you can claim them back from Frederick. If it was disappeared by other means, you will probably need to make a post about it, and have screenshots as evidence.
We are currently in a rough transition from old sauce to new sauce. The old sauce was taken down on 1 Jan 2017 server time for the new sauce patch. Unfortunately, things didn't go as we all had hoped. There had been several extensions to the downtime and the server was up and down (longer downs) in an intermittent fashion over the past days. The team acknowledged that they could have done better. Regardless, it is imperative we understand that the base code in the new sauce has been entirely rewritten in the past year to flush out all the quirks the old sauce had in the background. In the new sauce, you should notice drastically improved response time in activities such as changing channels, etc. There is a lot of improvements in the new sauce, some of which may not be apparent to us but the backend code allows for easier implementation of events and other features. I believe we are at the final stage of the transition. Although the next few weeks may be bumpy but it will only improve from here. With so many "beta testers" helping to test out the new sauce, the staff will be able to find and fix bugs more quickly. Some of the features are disabled and rollbacks may happen during this time but I hope you will be patient together with us as we wait for the new sauce to be perfected as soon as possible. Ahhh, its fine, Thanks Battōsai and Milk The Cow !!! Well, I hope the scroll is in Frederick, hahaha, but no problem if it is not, I intend to start again from 0, xD
If your Use inventory was full at the time of your login, there is a high chance it is with Frederick. A lot of people have been missing items (including RP equips) as a result of the inventory slot reduction from 100 to 96. Hopefully everyone affected will be able to retrieve lost items from Frederick without issue once he is coded. The team likely has other higher-priority bugs to fix first before enabling Frederick.
