There's a bit of inconsistancy with the ability to turn in items from events after the event is over. Sometimes you allow it (ex: red envelopes, gold coins, wishes cards), and sometimes you don't: (candles, ufo event chairs). I personally think that it's much nicer to just leave the npc for these trades for at least a week after the event is over, but even if the admins don't agree, at least decide on one of the two. It's kinda heartbreaking when you suddenly get busy on the last day of the event, or accidentally forgot that you had a lot of event items on another chara that you forgot to turn in. Thinking to yourself "maybe they'll allow to turn the items in after the event" only to be disappointed :/ So yea, I just want to know your current policy, did you guys start to disallow post event turn in quests, or would you return to consistantly doing it. Sitting on the fence and deciding which you'll do next on a whim just doesn't feel right.
Hmm, there's no real conversation to hold on this subject as it's kinda just a question directed at the staff. so this feedback might get a bit burried under the rest of the feedback suggestions that hold back-and-forth conversations. This feedback does not require any special coding, editing of current features or the likes. I just want to bump it a bit for the sake of getting an answer from one of the mods
We should definitely be more consistent with both 1) what events we allow turn-ins after the end date, and 2) what events have their ETC event items wiped after the end date. I would think that the better solution is to simply NOT allow turn ins after the event end date, because in some cases it can still be possible to buy ETCs from other players to then exchange for event rewards, whilst never actually playing during the event period... And I cannot really think of any good reason to allow that. Although of course there have also been some events where the ETC's were untradeable and it wouldn't have mattered. There was also an issue with the last event where one of the exchanges ended 1 day early, which we then added another day for, which caused a bit of confusion - but that was just pretty bad mistake on our side, and not sure if that had any influence in this thread being created. The best rule of thumb would be to ensure you exchange any event ETC's prior to the event end date.
Thank you! This thread was not made because of that case with the early ending of turn-ins. It was merely from me finding it weird that wish tickets, and candles, that behave pretty much the same way, got different treatments. When the valentine's event was about to end, people sold their wish tickets dirty cheap because they couldn't make a 800 set. but funnily enough, after the event, the turn in quest still worked. Same case for Red envelope. Knowing ahead of time what to expect at the end of the event will help us all a lot
