The Monster Book update have given us the best pre lvl 200 medals that are currently available in the game for attackers. This have sparked the adventerous side of many players, and got them to roam around and hunt for monster they've probably never encountered. But, looking at the stats for the new medals, I couldn't help but think mages were pretty much pushed aside this time around. These are the stats of the last 3 medals of MB: Spoiler: Amazing Collector Spoiler: Master collector Spoiler: Legendary collector For those who do not know the difference between magic attack and weapon attack. Magic attack is equal to 1 int stat for mages, its a straight 1:1 ratio. But for most attackers, 1 weapon attack is equal about 4~5 of their main stats when it comes to their range. That means, that for a mage, even the best medal here, the Legendary Collector, only gives 3 int and 500 hp/500 mp. 500 HP is available through the ergoth medal, and 3 int can be gained by FAR easier medals, and only 1 int away from the default 4th job medal. This is a pathetic reward for one of the hardest challenges we have in royals atm. While I do understand that I can still get this medal for the bragging rights, I still want to feel like I actually achieved something when I reach that medal with my mage. Sure, you can say that it's easier to get that medal with a mage, but not by a lot, its stats shouldn't be that bad for mages just because mages have good aoe. My suggestion is buffing the magic attack all these medals give like so: Amazing Collector: 300/300, 1 wa, 3 ma. Master Collector: 400/400, 2 wa, 6 ma. Legendary Collector: 500/500, 3 wa, 9 ma. I dont believe the best in slot medal for mages should be locked behind the legendary collector requirement as the Wiseman lvl 200 medal is 8 magic atk
The medal for lvl 200 attackers give 3 att, and so is the legendary collector. So if that 1 magic attack is such a big deal, then 8, even 7 magic will do. heck, I'd even be ok with a buff like this: Amazing Collector: 300/300, 1 wa, 2 ma. Master Collector: 400/400, 2 wa, 4 ma. Legendary Collector: 500/500, 3 wa, 6 ma. But the way it is now is downright insulting.
just wanna point out quest specialist is 5 int now so its better than the ma from legendary medal. n saint exorcist medal gives 3 int for way less effort too btw~~
I think the main goal of the medal is another source of HP for non-washed players that has some offensive use (versus the GPQ Medal). I've never played a bishop in HT but I don't think they desperately need HP as much as the other classes do. I do think the attack damage on the medal should be reduced so the respective level 200 medals can still hold the #1 slot
3 magic attack is honestly not worth the effort of getting this medal. So if you are a mage that needs this 500 hp to survive, GPQ medal is more than enough. And if you want a more offensive medal, you have FAR eaiser and stronger options to choose from. All in all, the current medal stats are pretty pathetic for how hard it is to achieve it.
