Make any buff/attack potion remain when a lower level/attack potion is used. Eg. While using heartstopper, it will remain if rage/energizer is used Eg. While mw20 is used, it will remain if mw10 is used
Sounds like a good idea, except for a small concern; if a buff only has a few second left, you might already want to recast/reuse it. With this system, you wouldn't be able to do that. An easy fix for that is to allow overwriting of buffs that run out in the next 20 seconds or something.
A solution for buffs that come near the end of another stronger buff, is that their buff stats will be recasted as soon as the older one runs out, but their timer will remain. For example, i use a stopper, then a moment later i use an energizer. for the first minute, i get 60+ att, and 30+ magic attack. After the stopper runs out, i lose the 60 attack, but a tick later i get the +25 att from the energizer, and stay with the 30 magic attack. And this only lasts 29 minutes. Basically it just keeps an order of which buffs come before or after, applying only the one at the top, and remove them from the list if their seperate timer is over.
So I'm suggesting this since I have seen this in other games, but not sure if this works in Mapleroyals My suggestion is that when you use e.g. an Amorian Basket, the wold spider cards shouldn't override it's accuracy. So when you're using a buff of higher accuracy or attack, the accuracy shouldn't take it's place when it's worse than the current buff. Same can go for e.g. Onyx apples and Rage. This is really frustrating as you sometimes lose a lot of mesos due to your pet auto looting cards or if your party accidentally uses rage.
Yoooooooo was gonna write similar post hahaha. Was training my little mage and it was so annoying have my Speed Pill'ss speed got overwritten by shitty +1 speed Platoon Chronos cards.
My rage causes rage It must be that 12att to the party is too OP compared to SI, SE, HS, etc. I feel crappy when one person wants to apple, so I can't safely rage the rest of the party who would 100% love it.
I would love to see Rage stackable, just to have a nice party buff & make runs faster for everyone. Also the other day a +1 nasty speed card override my +40 speed basket
Uh just a side note, this is not my suggestion and I don't support this (People are free to do so but that's not what my thread is about). I am not in favor of stackable buffs.
I would also think it would be a good feature. Downgrade the buff a bit though, make it a +10 (or 5-6 if you concieve its too OP) stackable so its a nice plus to parties and a (albeit small) reason to bring a Hero. Because like at unstackable +12 it is a pretty useless buff besides in CPQ's last 5-2 minutes. Warrior's exilir is something everyone has access to and gives +12. Ciders are also easy to buy although it hinders inventory space(not an issue this server) but gives an wooping +20 stats that blows rage out of the water. Not to speak to all the better expensive pots like apples and stoppers. If rage is not stackable, might aswell put it in the useless skills pile. This of course is against "nostalgia"(only valid argument against it) but giving an extra 10 weapon attack/magic won't break the game in any meaninful way. Also would suggest meditation from Mages be stackable aswell. Any bishop can have in hand to the same magic boost with magic exilirs. But here the downgrade is even more necessary, so lets make it a +10magic stackable.
I agree with you on everything but the nostalgia argument. Personally, when I put on my rose tinted glasses, I've never looked back at the rage inducing rage and thought, "Ahh yes, how I'd love to cancel some more apples" On the list of nostalgic features, anger inducing skill faults are pretty low compared to... everything
Should be fairly easy to add and I don't really see any downsides to it - apart from the nostalgic anger of having your onyx apple obliterated by a noob buff. Adding this would require us to set an 'applyBetterOnly' property to all buffs. The property is already currently implemented in two cases: When someone uses one of the Cash weather effects that applies a buff, and when you're standing over a map's Buff Zone.
Buff overrides one another depending on the most recent cast. I think Lv200's echo is the only buff that doesn't get overwritten by another buff, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
