Not to mention, yeah when someone has a shit day, or a shit life, it makes you more understanding and compassionate of their situation doesn't it? That's a large part of why this thread has gone to shit

 

Here's a screenshot of what Toph initially said. And by the way, if theyre told not to continue it in general or gm assistance.. what's the difference in banning them anyway. You guys don't want to have a tough conversation why? They were gonna get banned regardless, and that's why Toph had this already screenshotted. She could see it coming cause she's heard about GMs on this server and she's been warned prior too. Funny huh.

 

That's an excuse assholes use to be assholes. Grow up and be a decent person, regardless of if it's behind a computer screen.

 

I am literally there. Discord removes all messages when someone is banned. I don't know what you're on about my friend.


A tweet from the discord app says that the moderators of the server who ban someone have the option to delete the messages as well, or keep them regardless of the fact that they were banned, so if that tweet proves true then the GMs CHOSE to delete tophs messages.

 

Can you find any of her other messages? I cannot see that one or any other for that matter.

 

Ahh yes that's what he did. He went to the GMs and tried to get therapy. Stop driving this conversation away from the issues at hand, the terms of service isn't clear with the 30 day and permanent ban as stated in the attached file, and the fact that the moderators are not psychiatrists but should be upholding what is fair case by case. There is no winning, not with me, but with this situation, because whats done is done. There is simply no excuse to be a dick about it though, and regardless of what you think it's the GMs choice in the end and they decided poorly if they tried to decide fairly. But go ahead and try and convince yourself it's that guys fault for trying to play an account on this server for some peace. Like I said, you're not in his shoes, I don't wish you were and I wish he wasn't either, but it is that way and it wouldn't kill or hinder anyone on this server even marginally if he was allowed to play that account.

 

Ah yes, my favorite line of defense, ignoring the issue, and saying you're a bad person/evil for not agreeing with them, and suggesting you shouldn't voice your opinion because of it.

Either way Dave, I know you apologized for what you said, and I don't want you to feel badly for eternity because it may have been a spur of the moment deal. All I wanted to say was this situation was handled poorly and could have been handled much better. Regardless of rules, there are exceptions just like Toph said. And if this server was truly fair then something different would have happened here.
