Just read the post entirely and think before you reply next time. Your responses were based on what you thought I said when really I said something entirely different. Additionally, you may wanna take a look at my post history where I’ve both explained the reasoning behind the cool down and posted in support of it before making foolish assumptions once again.
My responses were based on what you said. I answered your questions, but I'm done replying here because you're clearly too dense to talk to right now. I have read the post, hence why I added in my input but if you're going to act like this then I'm not going to bother wasting my time here.
They were based on your misinterpretation of what I said. Hence why I am repeatedly telling you to re-read it until you can interpret it correctly. I don’t know how much clearer I can be. I’m the one who made the posts, I know what they are saying. The issue is your interpretation of them.
Fun fact: the last @Crowley smega spam wave was done using multiple lvl 50 mules that used hacks to lvl and gain the meso needed for a smega spam. Even in such a strict cooldown system, hackers will find their way (i think he smegaed faster than the CD) . Which means hurting real player through these restrictions is kinda pointless. A progressive cooldown system would be far less intrusive while keeping a similar limitation on the hackers.
In my opinion, when trying to beat rwt advertisers, setting up a longer or shorter smega cooldown is not the solution, users should not have to change their way of playing because of other people's doings. A Deep Learning approach would be a better suggestion, where deep learning is used to identify the contents the message in a smega (possibly before it gets pushed to the open world), and then determine if its contents contain anything rwt related. If you think this is a good idea, and any staff member thinks so too, i can write up a longer article relating to this subject.
Do you mean by disabling certain megaphone messages before they are sent out based on the content (keywords)? Just confirming
well, in a nutshell this is something that might happen, though its not based off certain keywords, but rather based on the decissions made by the neural network, which can get trained with thousands of acceptable and illicit messages, to determine what makes a message illicit. this means you dont even have to know these keywords, the network decides it for you. addition: this means the network will most likely be able to even detect people advertising in a cryptic manner (as long as it has been trained with similar situations aswell) edit 2: this is a new technology and might be hard to grasp at the beginning, but Deep Learning is amazing, and its the solution to a lot of problems
Based on my observation, higher-level characters tend to have more mesos to waste for nonsense purposes. This suggestion would be feasible if one could blacklist specific individuals to block only their smegas among other useful ones. I pay close attention to most of the smegas for merching or recruitments but numerous troll or pointless smegas, especially from high lvls in a consecutive manner, often disturb the view. We've seen many complaints concerning those who continuously smega about their personal favourites in life or anime. RWT or other spam smega upload speed before the cooldown implementation was beyond comparison. They'd completely clog up the chat bar for minutes, disabling any sort of communication, forcing everyone in the server to stare at the stupid messages till a GM took action. Just by limiting their spam speed, they are less visible and disruptive.
Also waiting for the list of positives from being able to spam megaphones Buying stuff? Finding party? Buying leech?
Tbh 1 minute isn't that long. I'm glad TomBrady and the likes of him can't spam more stupid shit on smega anymore. They were so annoying. Can you imagine the smega without restriction with the current player base? Here lemme show you. Lol dont. Some people will be smegaing "First to guess my favorite underwear color wins 100m" every 15 secs.
