Other than boss cards, make the dropped monster cards invisible after it is fully recorded.

It's so annoying to see them drop, then take up a line on chat.
The buffs are basically useless anyways.

That will mean a person grinding at a specific location will always have a 5% bonus. Also, these bonuses don't stack between monsters, which will create issues too.

Some of the cards, especially (area) boss cards, provide meso/drop rate buff which can come handy in limited situations. An example would be Lyka card which has drop rate buff, benefiting the hunters who kill for chaos scroll drop. It may not be so appealing to the majority of the playerbase but the benefit is there.

A toggle on the monster book to make card drops, only those with a full set, invisible would be nice.

well the cards are rare(takes some time) to get that small % +- (also can't be used on other mobs/boss)
that makes you stay on same location a bit longer to get the advantage/use of that %+-
it's small motivation to stay and enjoy a bit more but not to long to abuse

the idea it's open for further upgrade and to prevenet abuse

the bonus benefits that cards give are tied to mob/boss you got the card from , so you can't use on other boss/mob to farm afterwards as i know/seen

in lyka example the boss it's rare enough to find let alone to get 5 card just to get % to farm more lyka or even other boss

I agree that a toggle would be the best option, and if it's not possible within the current source, it would be better to leave them visible. Even with non-boss cards, there are situations where you would want to see if a card has dropped, the main one being when I am selling leech and need to tell the people I am leeching if and where a card has dropped so they can loot it for the exp buff.

As one can see from Matt's post here
Some area boss card buffs aren't restricted to themselves but can be used in that area for increased drop rate from normal mobs.

I thought drop rate buffs don't work on bosses

It doesn't o_O? I remember one of the GMs tested it and said the bonus isn't as significant as I imagined it to be but meaning there is a buff. Did Matt announce this?

From my testing, the buff does work. From runs where i cleared all channels of an area boss where i got a card early vs. late, the benefit seemed noticable. Especially for getting another card from that same boss.
