'Skip' one of the upcoming events by recycling (reusing) the same exact event as the year prior and use that time to get the upcoming event(s) ready so there are no more delays going forward. We're at least one month behind when events should be released and it's a repeat occurrence where every event isn't released on time. Bite the bullet and reuse the same event as the year prior just once and spend that time working on the next event(s) so that we don't end up having to wait until after the specific holiday is over to participate in the event made for it. While it'll suck not having a new event for one holiday, it sucks ten times more having to wait an excessive amount of time for every single event to be released. I rather suck it up and have one 'shitty' event if it means we no longer have to deal with every event being delayed going forward.

Last halloween was awesome anyways (imo) so it won't be that big a loss.
But tbh i think that by now, its not the event that is slowing the update, its everything else. Its a biiig update which probably took them longer than they expected. If all the event updates were just pure event without any other patch, then sure you have a point. But here its a case where the main thing they want to release is the update, and the event joins along to release in one go.
Lets trust their decision as we don't know for certain the reasons that required this delay

It's not the Halloween even that is delaying things. The upcoming update was completely reworked to fit in with Royals best and that requires immense testing, modifying, testing, repeating.
I know everyone is awaiting the update very eagerly, but it's well worth it!

It's not really that simple. There are a lot of people working on the background of things and when you're working on software development it's best to have a few things going at once. If you get burned out working on one project, you can put some time into something else and it refreshes you to to back to the previous task. The update isn't the only thing being worked on.

Is there a way to contribute? Something like bug/beta testing? If it would help out the staff and increase the frequency of updates I'm sure some people will be glad to assist you guys.

Staff won't be able to tell if a volunteer is a hacker himself so it's probably not a viable option.

Inb4 releasing neo tokyo/events with insane and overpowered drop rates, poor balancing and making this game into shit with a single update. Giving some quality amount of time to test is understandable.

I’m not talking about Halloween or the latest update. This has been an ongoing issue since late 2017! The objective is to give y’all time to get caught up so that we’re no longer behind with the release of nearly every event/update (which we have been for nearly 2 years now). We aren’t gaining ground with the current approach and we’re just going to continue to remain behind if we don’t add resources (more staff) or allocate time to play catch up.

I personally am happy that they are using so much time to test everything out after the new source fiasco. Better to wait for quality than get something that will be either OP or broken.
