Is there a way to determine low lying RWTers?

I've been playing since 2014 and have had 2017-2018 players suspect me of cheating the same funds that they managed to achieve in less than half my play time. I don't like selling items on the site, I never sold leech, the people I always boss with don't have long conversations through smegas, and I don't like answering questions from randoms ingame.

Majority of the RWTers who claim the gift story cannot tell GMs a name cause its a level 10 mule probably dropping them the items/trading scrolls. I think gifting is still fine.

 

The recent ban appeal showed one player earning 3k/month illegitmately by doing close to nothing. People out there wish for jobs that earn at 2k/month. I don't think that's fair at all. RWTing is not only affecting gameplay, but it's also affecting what's going on beyond the game itself.

I am actually glad my vented frustration in the original post somehow indirectly led to his ban. There was an anonymous forum user that somehow assisted the investigation as well. To whoever you are (anonymous user), thank you for coming out of nowhere and helping us. You closed a huge hole that all of us, including the GMs (i think?), did not know existed.

He will still hack. He just told us that he wont stop and now is my question what does gms do now? Ip bans arent such effectiv.
Yea we found the mainaccount and his main ip but what is with the other 10000000000 ip he will generate? 10000000000 chances of rwt. 10000000000 times he will dont mind in a bann.


You say "hopefully you will be fine with makaronis" i say he is still fine with 3000€/month.

What we achieved as a result of this thread is far greater than what you think. Hacking/botting can be done by anyone (with following consequences) at anytime. However, there's something one cannot achieve just with hacking/botting. In order to RWT sell perfected equips for hundreds of euros or dollars, the sellers need to buy clean ones from casual/lucky players who farm, gach them before perfecting them.

Lets look at a scenario. Some lucky person gached 60att 12 luk Dragon Purple Sleeve from kerning gachapon. Gachapon smega announces the birth of this magnificent item to the entire server so everyone knows about its whereabout. If a random guy who started playing 3 months ago offers 20b on the forum auction, everyone including staff will suspect that person and soon land a ban hammer.

Crowley was able to acquire all those clean perfect equips because he could provide excuses as a "rich player" (altho everyone with an insight already knew he acquired his wealth via illegit means). This is also why he's been trying to buy them secretly via pm instead of bidding on public threads.

Hackers and botters cannot buy these clean perf equips without raising a flag. Crowley will most likely crawl back to restart his business but it'll take a long time until he can establish another fake "veteran player" profile. Till then, the only perf clean items he can buy for his business are nisrock, craven etc. from fm shops using hacked mesos. Just by limiting the flow of majority of perf equips (dragon weapons, gached weapons etc.) in his RWT business, the scale of his business will be diminished.

By banning his main, we forced him to start again from scratch. Staff and us, the community are here to monitor him and ban him again if he crawls back.

There is certainly no end and they will always come back but that's inevitable. We do what we can do to reduce them and cripple them. Who knows? Our developer(s) might find a way to stop them forever in due time .

RWTing wont really come to an end but it's possible to contain it. It's obvious now just looking at the selling and buying threads. It's far easier to find a stonetooth or craven seller back then compared to how it is now.

there is a set progression- make an 81 priest, make an archmage, farm ulu which you can do naked with a 10m elewand 5 or sell leech, buy gear and lots of apr, leech your main, wash your main, only then does the game actually begin. either put in the work or be happy with not being included in boss runs.

IMO this is what’s wrong with this server. This meta of “spend a ton of time playing characters you don’t wanna play, otherwise have fun being excluded”. and you could say “yeah well tough sh*t, every noob has to go through this” but in royals 2019 most players aren’t noobs and it’s pretty discouraging being left out of the community just because you wanna play the game in a way you enjoy, just because it doesn’t fall within the meta. Its lonely
The meta exists because the community perpetuates it. It’s not all bad and I get that when you’ve played a game for a long time you want to maximize, it just wouldn’t hurt people that much to be more inclusive of people who didn’t spend months leeching and hardly enjoying themselves for a few damn pixels....
People who don’t respects the rules and break them will always exist, but I’m sure that if the bar wasn’t set so high, the gap between starting out and mid-end game didn’t look so daunting, we’d see a lot less RWT going on.

 

Why can't the newbies get together and start a slower and inefficient but fun boss expeditions (that's how I started royals) instead of only trying to join the older player's playground? I'm sure we don't only get 1 new player per month?

Threads still relevant to this day. Rwters are still growing in exististence and its becoming more difficult to catch them. Why? Because not many left are dumb enough to go full whale. Many of these players just rwt enough to wash and start with middling items now.

Its a losing battle guys. There are several well known rwters still around for years now, what makes anyone think the lesser whales will be caught at any point?
