Just making sure, did the staff severely test this out to come to a firm position that gfx'ing is no longer needed?

With the new Control Panel, will we be able to vote before reset to receive nx for the day and can vote again after reset to meet voting for that day? Or will it still be after 24 hrs since the last time you voted?

 

Resoluton thing is nice and all but damn, this means i might need a bigger screen to have maplestorys nicely side by side. Never had to gfx before but that's a very nice addition.

 

1. There were multiple tests with the bosses that cause gfx issues, including zakum, horntail, krexel, and the neo city bosses. We found them to not cause any gfx issues when each of them were alone in the map (even with summons).

2. The voting system should remain the same as it was. 24 hours after the last vote.

 

Yes, we stress tested to the best we can. We're really hopeful about this.

The normal situation is given a 6 party zakum, you'll normally start experience gfx issue around b1 or b2. When we tested, we ran with about 4-8 characters, spawned between 1 to 50 zakums and pretty much spammed skills around it for almost 30mins to an hour. No gfx issue, nothing. Memory usage remains low and stable which is a good indication that whatever fix we made is working.

This sounds great! Can't wait for the wider screen. I think myself and others would enjoy a more technical breakdown of what had to be done to fix the boss DCing issue and other big changes. Or are those secrets?

 

Unfortunately we don't have any recordings on hand. But we tested out this as well, as it's known to be one of the bosses that encounter gfx issue very easily.
