One of the common Ironman I/L struggles is getting a Ele3 from Sleepy gach! Not fun having your first gach-only brick wall that early. The new pot costs might be a problem too but it's not like you'll have anything else to spend your mesos on when almost every int scroll is gach only. Lots of gach only brick walls for mage gear upgrades!
While 2nd job and 3rd job will be relatively smooth sailing in terms of grinding, you will find yourself very quickly relying on gacha to make any progress in your gear. The only scrolls that are useful for mage that are farmable are ova 60% for int, helmet 60% for int, and earring 60%/10% for int. So yea, IL mage is only suggested if you are willing to vote on it as well Oh, and you are more than welcomed to join our discord!
Thanks for all your input! I've decided to go for a Paladin-to-be haha - I know there's quite afew Ironman Paladins but it is the only character I've played on the original MapleSEA, and there's just something fitting & cathartic about a back-to-basics grinding player just bludgeoning monsters on their heads haha. May I ask if there's room in the guild for 2 of my Ironman characters? - CIubber - lvl1 Paladin-to-be - Arden - lvl41 HP Warrior (max Power Guard woohoo!) Small updates on progress: I've hit my mini-goal of lvl50 on Arden, was definitely a bit of a struggle with 35 STR. I'm now focusing on leveling up Clubber, who's currently at lvl38 I believe. Also, 2 random thoughts from playing the Ironman way: - This feels so much more relaxing to me, for some reason haha - Training at rarely visited maps, especially since I'm gunning for the Quest Specialist medal, has made me bump into more hackers than I'd expected, oh well
So, mixed emotions throughout my Ironman experience on CIubber so far: + I've hit level 70 in about 2 weeks! - Unfortunately, I don't have enough Dark Crystal ores for 3rd job advancement. I guess the plan now is to farm at the following spots: 1. Forest of Golem (Dark Crystal ore and Maple Havoc Hammer (level 64 1H BW) from Dark Golem, 60% GFA from Mixed Golem (I need 1 more to complete my current glove, more on that below) 2. Sharp Cliff II (Dark Crystal ore and Maple Belzet (lvl 64 2H BW, I prefer 2H) from Dark Jr. Yeti @Rinn's kindly told me the advancement can still be done past level 70, with no loss of SP. + Some decent equips farmed so far: - including this glove, which failed in scrolling (that's 1/4 60% GFA which worked) + And here's my progress for Quest Specialist:
The fastest way to get dark crystals would be slimy in ghost ship, if your priority is job advancement asap then it is probably your best bet for your level. (you can get a 10 crystal set in about an hour) P.S. Dark jr yeti is not easily farmable, there's barely 2 in a map at any given time, the rest are transforming ones and idk if they have the same drops. Telling you from my bad experience in trying to get their card and ultimately giving up >~>

Alright, managed to farm the remaining 6 Dark Crystal ores and became a White Knight! I got this from an hour at Sage Cats: which became this: Not the best but it'll work for now haha

I see the lvl 200 Bishop dream's shelved for now haha - I'm all for more Ironmen though! My vote goes to F/P because that's my first Royals character & it flies through 3rd job if you take the Poison Mist route
I'm thinking F/P too because I've NEVER had one ever - I do however have a 200 NL on GMS waybackwhen so it's not exactly a new path for me. Who are the JRs I'd need to contact for a guild add?
