im bored at night and its still the lockdown period in my country
and i just realised that the bil coin is not at 3% tax
    why?
if the receiver of the trade were to get exactly 1bil mesos, the payer needs to put in 1 030 927 835 mesos (1bil/97%)

as such the tax rates given the current 30 mil per bil coin spent, the tax rate is [1-(1/1.03)]*100% = 2.912621359%

(conspiracy that the rich are getting taxed less >:D>:D>:D>:D>:D)

interesting! u know what i dont understand? why does the person receiving mesos without using bil coins get taxed 3%, then an additional 3% when using bil coins to purchase things? isnt that effectively double taxation? whats the logic behind that?

the system is based of per trade
so if you were to receive 1 bil in pure mesos, and spent it in another trade its gonna go down to 970m on the receiver
    same stuff =o

are u sure? if i received 970m after tax, and then subsequently purchased an item with a bil coin, i get taxed on my initial mesos earned at a 3% rate, and then an additional 3% when trading with someone else using a bil coin

ah ok got the question now
basically the bil coin is worth 1.03b when used in trades, as the receiver has a surefire 1b per coin received
that is why some trades on the forums and stuff, eg. 2b items, some people will state that the buyer covers the tax
using 2bil coins will be more favourable in the trade, as compared to receiving a trade of 2bil mesos, as the tax is covered by the buyer

the current tax system works by deducting 3% on the receiver's side
so if i traded 1 bil mesos, the receiver takes 970m

so in order for the receiver to take 1 bil exactly
i would need to put in 1 030 927 835 mesos so that 97% of that is 1 bil
if i put in 1.03 bil, the receiver will only take 999.1m (1.03 bil x 0.97)

I keep track of most of my profits and trades.

In my experience 3% tax is not 3%. Its more like 3.000007% something. Don't know how many 0's. But my profits are off between 100k-400k on big ticket items like scg, fs, scrolled wgs, etc.

they gonna make it real 3% since they alr implemented 2 of @Fr0zen 's feedback thread suggestions

the 3% is taken from 1b. if 1b is traded the person receiving gets 970m. in this way, the 30m is taken from the fella giving away mesos for free :(

So basically, to give somebody 1 billion mesos in pure mesos, you need to put 1,030,927,835 mesos into the trade... Which makes sense because you are being taxxed on 1,030,927,835 mesos.

If that is an issue why not just use that 1,030,927,835 mesos and buy a 1 Billion Meso Coin, and then save your 927,835 mesos?

How does this make the rich, richer? if you have that amount of Mesos you can just buy a Billion Meso Coin yourself.

adding that 0.09% tax can help in adding a meso sink in the game without having to innovate new methods
furthermore, by getting it to a proper 3% tax, there will not be any hard feelings that comes with suggestions like "increase the trade tax to 5%"
just fixing up the small inconsistencies i guess

edit: the current savings is roughly 3% of the intended 3% tax, might not seem like much but it will add up eventually
