I've donated quite a bit on several of my accounts and as my friends would know, I tend to just buy RP without actually calculating how much I need. This leaves me with excess RP in one account that could be used for other things on another account. For example, I currently have 40+ RP on one account which I have absolutely no use for and I do not see myself using it and I would like to have the option for the RP to be able to be transferred to another account (say a fresh account where I am making a new character and would like to doll up) instead of re-purchasing RP. I understand that there might be a fear of rwt of some sort because RP items cannot be traded but I would think that some sort of verification would clear things up, i.e. the person applying to have the RP transferred has to share the same e-mail address and other personal details with the receiving account. Obviously I'll acknowledge that it's my fault for not calculating beforehand but I would also like to think that there are people like me who just buy RP 'in case we need them for later' or 'because buying more gives us a better rate'.
Thanks for suggesting this. Our developers are working on improving the control panel and I'm not sure if this is something that can be done, although I assume it's easy, but as you mentioned, there's a risk of transactions to other players other than yourself. Until we can find a foolproof method of doing so (one way is to apply for the transfer, which I think makes the most sense at the moment, like voting whitelist). Do keep the suggestion flowing though.
I think having each transaction be first verified in the forums is the safest. The verification can include sharing an unedited picture or video of the entire computer screen, that shows that the player is open on both accounts on seperate clients. And write down the time it was recorded in. From there, an admin can can check the logs, and see if in that time a single pc was connected to those two accounts, and check if an account sharing flag jumped. That should be enough to prove that both accounts are the owner's. Anyone who'd try to abuse this system will be instantly flagged for account sharing, so hopefully no one will be dumb enough to do it
seems like the perfect solution, other then the fact that the verification process will take some of the staff's time, it seems kinda bulletproof.
And because these sort of requests will be few and far between, I don't think it will be that big of a strain on the admins
