And how would you fix it? Curious to see what players are thinking, especially those that have been playing a while. Personally, I don't like that HP washing is a thing. Leeching is cool though. What do you think?
Map bugs. Example you are attacking in a straight line on flat ground and some map's details block those attacks.
Lack of endgame content. From around level 110 you basically run out of new quests you could spend time on, and once you get to level 150 and beyond you've basically explored the whole game and there's not much else to do besides bossing as even the most high-levelled mob areas like Temple of Time become a complete breeze in terms of challenge and a drag in terms of EXP. Neo-Tokyo would serve as a proper continuation after ToT, but since every 2 maps are blocked off by a 3-person party requirement and (usually) a boss, you'll be progressing through that at a complete snail's pace. Besides that, the various areas that are still missing (Ellin Forest, Coke Town, Taiwan/Kerning Square, Mushroom Castle, Golden Temple) They wouldn't solve the endgame problem much, but it's always nice to have more world to explore.
Multi-client in bosses. It makes it harder for newer players some classes to get into runs because many roles can just be filled by a mule like HS, SE etc. it detracts from the team and community dynamics that made these bosses challenging on GMS. With Krexel and to a lesser extent CWK you can make that argument that the bishop really doesn’t do anything other than HS as the bosses die, but otherwise support cossses can be subbed for straight DPM and have their role played by a mule. I see it as a necessary evil because this meta does make the runs faster, and most endgame bosses do require a “live” bishop and se especially now with 1/1 working as it should. If the admins were up to it we could have a trial period of multi-client disabled during bosses (wouldn’t affect anywhere else so you can still train with a HS mule and possibly make CWK exempt because of the number of people needed) and see how it goes. I have a feeling it wouldn’t go over well at this point as the server has become so accustomed to things as the way they are
I do agree that multi-client mules for runs is becoming more and more detrimental. While not initially (as the server gets older) the more characters get created by players who then try to optimize and get greedy on runs. So much so that I've seen even CWK runs be held by just two people. What would normally be a social aspect of the game, begins to get eliminated as individuals become the "one-man-army" on a run that's meant to take multiple people to bond and share experiences with. Multi-clienting in open world should be allowed, but mules in endgame PQs like HT and CWK needs to be more restricted.
I doubt that most see eye to eye with me, but over policing petty/unnecessary things such as IGNs, words, KSing, etc.. The biggest difference between Royals and bbb gMS isn't anything like leeching or HP washing, it's the lack of an organic social hierarchy and social privileges/consequences that come alongside your standing on it. Somebody said a word that you don't like? Don't buddy them, don't boss with them, don't let them join your guild, whatever. We don't need some hyper sensitive little turd with internet power to say oh em gee that's so offensive to X so it can't be said at all. We're primarily adults, and the youngest players in their teens, in life we *have* to deal with people saying and doing things that we disagree with or are offended by and there is nothing we can do about it. We got by just fine with this approach before, and frankly it was a larger component of the old game than it appears to have been on a surface level.
This server is too endgame focused. Its partially because of leeching and washing, but also partially because of our rates. Oldschool was a real struggle to reach 4th, which meant an active community in the 1st to 3rd job areas. Endgame is naturally more barebone in this version because the majority of players werent there yet. Tbh, unfixable in this point in time, thats just the nature of this server at this point.
Kinda have a love and hate relationship with maplestory jump quest. For some reason you keep on trying till you complete them. It's part of maple I'd say. I mean to be fair mobs wise, are mobs ever a challenge? It's for exp and drops the only difficulty is that they take a bit longer to kill at lower lvl if that's what your getting at. also what about pink bean has that already been taken out on this server, pretty challenging from what I've heard i agree though kerning square should make a return.
I always felt like original maple and other servers have way too much going on. Like, I log in and see 40 event quests all at once. It's very overwhelming and really feels like quantity over quality. But sometimes, Royals can lack content though. When ever a big update comes out, it's always exciting for me. I would like to see updates just a bit more often though to keep me excited for longer period of times.
@omglolz ,i know ur intentions are not bad, but i would recommend add a rule here where everyone can say what they dislike, but try yo not reply others unless wanna try to help someway....otherwise this could be bad at some point
definitely just like other mentioned : multiclient & HP wash aswell as lack of more social events-content (PQ's reborn, huge team boss raids & GM events organised on time, 5 and 3 min notice is just not enough for those who don't semi-afk wait or doesn't extreme multiclient and i know that there can be few tweaks done to address the lag,dc issues) i've missed a lot of GM events while being at boss, relog and miss the notice or even being told wrong CH by NPC Billy
1. HP Washing (say no more) - But it was fixed with the new HP quest and some equipments. 2. No rewarp for bosses - Sometimes I dc for unknown reasons lol. I don't mind at all but I feel bad for my team mates. 3. Hackers everywhere - Hope the autoban will solve this in the future. 4. Some nerfs are just meh - I'm ok with Ulu nerf and NLC pots price, it can cure the inflation at some points. But nerf on Alchemist and Shadow Shifter are really annoying. 5. Many scammers and toxic people - Luckily we have the blacklist and we are working on T&C on scamming. 6. Inflation - I know right. 7. GM Events short notice - I know it is a reward for people online, but what if they are online and doing something else (bossing, PQ) when the notice comes?
That a 20minute event can reward someone with an item thats worth equal to me selling petris leech for 120h+.
