i was wondering if mapleroyals can implement a system which makes it more newbie friendly? From past experience i've noticed some pattern that new players sort to grind within my guild. Most of them will play their favourite attacker class and soon realise that it is too difficult to earn mesos without a mage/bishop class. They often grind at zombies and sell zombie's tooth to buy leech ( which i think is good ). But i dont think everyone should make a mage class just to grow your main attacker.

So most of the rewarding part of mapleroyals is in end-game bossing such as Zak/HT/AUF( i still didnt get to try ). They drop NX/CS/MW/Books etc which for new players it is going to be really hard since they have a low range and public parties wants strong/HP washed Bishop attackers.

So i have some ideas that i would like to share.

    1) Low level bosses such as Mano/Stumpy/Deo should drop more NX for low level players. What im trying to say is if the player falls between the level range of (30-60) the boss will have a chance to drop 5k nx? ( maybe its a bit too much to ask for 5k but i know mapleroyals is looking at 1k/2k nx drops too, so maybe can add that instead?) I believe this encourages low level players to hunt boss and be more active. Yes i know there is a flaw whereby experienced royalers make lower characters to grind to earn mesos ( but i think if you want the server to grow, everyone should play a part to help the new players by giving them the chance to kill boss for nx instead of creating new accounts and actively grind low level boss if this suggestion happen to be taken into consideration.)

    2) Increase boss drops from zak/ht/auf if average party level range is lower ( example : member of 6 with estimated level range 135~145 for zak have a higher chance to get gene20/cs and maybe 3 5k nx.). Im not asking mapleroyals to decrease the current drop rates because i know some people likes to go Trio/quad for more exp. But asking for more rewards for new players that are trying their best to kill zak. Still, there is also a flaw whereby players might add cr mule to pt to lower the level range for rewards. So if this suggestion happen to be taken into consideration, i hope royals can make some counter measure to prevent players doing that. and i have some suggestions to some criteria for higher drop rates ( Member of 6 in a party - full party , all actively hitting boss, Within level range, minimum leech level - example zak is 135 / HT is 155 ). This also encourages party to search for lower level member for more rewards in my opinion.

These are the 2 suggestions i can think of right now, and i welcome new suggestions that can make mapleroyals a more newbie friendly server and feedback for these 2 ideas.

Perhaps i do not agree with some of the specific things that you are suggesting, in my opinion they are an understandable response to the fact that server is not showing a suitable meta that new/coming back players have willingness to adjust to it.

while i understand the sentiment behind it, both of these suggestions won't achieve what you are looking for, and will infact actively harm those you want to help.

    1) by adding a system that can increase the nx gained from area boss, the area boss hunters could easily make a character to hunt with, its not like these bosses give enough exp to cause them to over level. area bosses are a limited resource, so if you give the tryhards a better reason to hunt area bosses, the more casual players you want to help will find it harder to find those bosses (cause people hunt them more).

    2) this system just promotes having low lvl mules in the party, thereby, taking slots for actual low lvl players. People will probably also find a way around any system that could try to limit the way the counter works. This solution is just introduces another thing the mods will need to monitor

I strongly agree that Royals should introduce more newbie/returnee friendly features.

As long as low-level area bosses are concerned, my suggestion is to greatly increase their EXP but delete NX cards from droplist at all, so competion from the side of high-level players would be removed.
Area bosses in Victoria Island are slayed by flashjumping NLs just for some 250 cashes. Therefore, low-level players who just want to casually do some quests and grind have mere chances to see the bosses.

Also, I would love to see reversion of spawn rate nerf in GS2, wolf spiders etc. CPQ2 nerf was unnecessary too, at least in my opinion.

My another suggestion is to support low-level players with untradeable items/equips, for example pet+pet equips, maple weapons, preferably pre-scrolled with some 60%s, potions etcs, in order to make grindinng easier. Old players wishing to make another mule still can buy leech if they want.

The general point is to let new players reach 135lvl easier w/o depending on leech. Considering the fact that Royals is a highly boss-centered server, time and effort that are currently needed to go through 2nd, 3rd advancement are too much.
