Hey, I'm writing this thread cause I noticed that whenever I use low att pots they don't seem to work once energy charge is up, whenever I'm BF hunting i use warrior elixir and it increases my range, but once energy charge is active my range is the same as when i'm not using the pot. Isn't energy charge suppoused to apply an additional 20 att when charged up regardless of what att pot you use? it seems kinda usless if the case is that it prioritizes whatever item gives higher att. I made my own research and found out that when i use onyx apple whether i have energy charge up or not, my range doesn't increase the slightest, feels like energy charge is kinda a useless skill, might as well give us bucc's a stance skill instead of it, and that's it. I uploaded a pic of me in pap with apple which i used for this research, one ss is when energy charge is up the other is without, as you can see the range doesn't increase or decrease at all, seems like energy charge prioritizes if the item is used has less than 20 att then the charge skill att up is used, if any other item is used that gives more than 20 att then energy charge att up buff is not used.
Since Energy Charge gives 20 att, it overrides the warrior elixir. However, since the skill activates involuntarily when attacking, it won't override higher attack pots. Once the effect of Energy Charge ends, it doesn't apply the lower att pot again. However, this means you effectively have a free 20 att pot whenever you go to kill things.
yeah but still feels like besides giving stance, then energy charge is useless, might as well give buccs stance and that would work just as well as energy charge
Charge is kind of handy for buccs who grind themselves through third job. I always found Energy Drain & Energy Blast to be fun/useful skills. Energy Orb in 4th job might be a meme but Charge still has purpose. Plus, removing it outright isn't nostalgic.
