I think that maybe I'll post a new thread every 5 levels higher. Lv35 now, got a 57Attack cutlass from horny mushroom(5wa above average) and I want to try a one-handed sword way instead of most people picking up lionheart in this stage. After completing the 999 mushrooms, I got a Persevering Challenger Medal gives me +1 str But my MP becomes low so I decided to do the Winston's quests and get myself the Leaf Earrings. Cap: Great Red Helmet Earring: Leaf Earrings (+50MP, it's pretty useful for warriors back then) Overall: shop Sapphire fitted Mail (+14dex by buying scrolls for dex 100% from NPC) Cape: +5 dex Old Raggedy Cape (slimes drop scroll for dex 100%) Gloves: +3 dex, +5 accuracy shoes: drop by wooden mask shield: shop Red Cross shield (like a crusader shield? Looks cool!) By the way, I just refused a player who would like to give me gloves. Thank you but sorry I'll pass!
I usually train and do the Strange Dish 3 quest here, and there are about 4~6 cold eyes at the bottom of this map. It's incredible that they often drop equips with the few numbers. And this time I very luckily get myself a +6str Gold Nordic Helm! Thanks god of maple Cap: Gold Nordic Helm (+6 str) Earring: Leaf Earrings Overall: shop Sapphire fitted Mail (+14dex) Cape: Old Raggedy Cape (+5 dex) Weapon: Cutlass (64wa) Gloves: Orihalcon Missel (+1 str) shoes: Gold War Boots (+2 dex) shield: Battle shield (drop by axe stumps) After the 999 Curse Eye quest completion, I plan to grind some scroll for helmet for dex 100% from jr.wrath, doing some quests and then grind some scroll for gloves for attack 60% in Ludi or Omega Sector. Because of the low attack range and lack of accuracy, I can't face mobs which are higher-level and stronger than me.
Quick update! So, update 84# just hit yesterday, and with it, came a new solo content in LHC for lvl 170+, I'm happy to announce that it's 100% Ironman friendly I ran it yesterday on my bucc, so I wanted to share all I know about this solo quest with y'all The daily quest is split to 4 stages: 2 mob stages, 1 boss stage, and a bonus stage Stage 1 and 2 are very straight forward, beat enemies until they drop 5 etcs, do a thing, move to next room: the kicker is the EXP to hp ratio, all the mobs in this quest are about 1.5 the hp of a gold monk, but 4 times the EXP Even after collecting the 5 etcs, you can squeeze the last few minutes for more grind Stage 3 is the boss fight, 30 min timer. The boss is rather simple, he has a stun attack, and a super KB attack, hitting up to 6k damage~, and he teleports around like Ephenia boss fight Took me about 15 mins to kill with stoppers, next time ill just keep using the gizer instead The reward is really nice! 25.6m EXP, 35~50ish totems, a lot of NX [i got 6k first run], and potentially, a 0~2 all stat ring [that can go godly!], and a tradeable earring with base 5 luk. And then, there's a bonus round, you basically get to revisit the 3 maps you went through and kill the mobs freely for 30 mins. A small bonus, you can catch golden bees that spawn once in a while, and sell the item they give at a shop for 5m, not the most useful thing for ironman, but its there. You can also leave whenever you had enough After that, you go back to the queen ghost, and get your reward box: All in all, a really fun solo quest, expect to see me lvl up again fairly soon
Holy smokes! Sounds pretty great for an Ironman! Maybe I'll have to give it a shot some day. I wonder if I can get past the pre-requisite quests, though.
It takes a fair bit of time to finish the lhc prequest because of how tanky they are, but its manageable. you might need to use good attack pot for the 2nd miniboss of the questline, but in total it shouldn't take more than 3-4 hours
we're a little divided on inviting someone that already reached 4th job. Is there anything you can show us that helps prove you did solo train all the way there?
LVL 199!!!!! I really don't know how to proccess it anymore, just two weeks ago I was thinking that I'm running out of steam, and that I might need to wait again for an exp event or an event that gives out gelts to do the last push, but then Matt hits me in the face with new and exciting solo content, and I accidentally blasted through lvl 198 in a matter of a single week I'm so glad that I will finally be able to put a bow on this crazy journey that was my ironman bucc. Other than doing HT, I think I did just about anything I wanted to do with him, and had a major blast throughout. I didn't think for a second I'd actually reach this level, and in the pace I hit lvl 199, lvl 200 is practically just around the corner! Well, even if its a little early for this, I want to say to all the ironman community that cheered me on and provided me company on this long journey, Thank you <3
Your journey has been incredible, I look forward to the day that you reach 200! It'll be crazy finally seeing an ironman reach level cap.
I feel like I should update this. gamingrandpa has since been added to the guild after proving his character to be legit.
Yea, I made my bucc before the lvl 120 hp quest was a thing, so I did lvl up to 4th job while still having some base int on my bucc, same deal with my MM and Shad. But if I were to make a new character today, I don't think I would've bothered, it's not worth it when you can do the infinitly repeating hp quest instead
This was posted on the latest accomplishment thread already. Just wanted to post it here for posterity.
Just come back to the server and decide to make an ironman and join the guild Ign: Jzzo undecided btwn cleric or pirate will see
Hello saw the challenge randomly and decided to make a character for it. Currently managed to get to 2nd job. I wanted to at least get to 30 before really seeing if i want to continue with the challenge. So far its kinda cool to play casually. I am hunting down those orange skiis to hopefully make lvling not too much of a pain in the early lvls of 2nd job.
I am taking inspiration from YuriTR. Seeing their post of progress makes me want to do the same. Updates from previous post: Grinded a buh-gillion amounts of fire raccoons for those orange skiis but no luck so far. At this point I think I am just hard coping thinking the next kill will be the one. I know its probably more efficient to train somewhere else but ya boy is in too deep I need to see the skiis drop with my own eyes LOL. Anyways this is perfect to play while waiting on pf on ff14 so hey killing two birds with 1 stone hehe.
So, a quick update regarding my Bucc, I've grinded a lot since my last level up, and I can say for certain that I will level up soon: Spoiler: Progress >:) So I think this is as good time as any to set my lvl 200 party LVL 200 Shichika party! I invite everyone, Ironman or not, to come celebrate my bucc's end of his leveling journey! This Saturday (29/04/23), on servertime 19:00 [GMT] I'll be leveling up in Nautilus Harbor CH1, on the far right Meet y'all there
