Our stance on a new world remains the same, but we still appreciate your feedback https://royals.ms/forum/threads/mapleroyals-expands-to-a-new-world.226284/#post-1406056
I'm not convinced a 2nd world wouldn't be successful. I understand the fear of splitting up the community. But I firmly believe you'd bring more new players who dont currently or have ever played Royals into a 2nd world than you'd have leave the main world. There are new players who are turned off at the notion of trying to grind out on Royals where everything is so expensive, where they "feel" behind and not capable of ever catching up. Those people come and leave and don't come back. A lot of those people are just waiting for a fresh server that offers the sort of changes Royals offers but none of those servers have the foundational stability or track history of success that Royals has. There are also people who have played and no longer play Royals that wanna play and support MapleRoyals but are tired of the current economy, server and training meta being all played out and stagnant at this point. Choosing other servers isn't a viable option to most players cause most servers again, do not provide the same type of stability, QoL changes or even community like Royals does. These people are looking for a fresh start where everything is reset. PQ's are viable again, there's no rampant leeching meta. There's no 20 attack shoes or capes or 25 atk bwg's or perfect weapons that people have to worry about when making characters. HP washing is less of a concern cause of all the addition of HP increasing quests and items. Players can just start fresh with everyone else being on the same playing field, grinding out levels and items and equips building up slowly. If we had a second world, would it eventually become exactly like the main server? Yup. But people want a fresh start. Where they feel like they're on the same playing field as everyone else. It took current Royals 13 years to get to the point where it is now, so it would certainly take a little while for things to build up to a point where the 2nd world felt anything close to the main world. You know, maybe we could choose to apply certain changes to the 2nd world that differentiates itself from the main world. Like changes to leeching, more difficult bossing, gachapon and NX rebalancing, item drop and meso drop rebalancing. We could choose things that were positive balance changes we've always wanted to apply to the main server but found it too difficult to implement into an active server with an active economy that wouldn't negatively affect loads of players. We could try and bring changes to the 2nd world that focus on setting it apart from the main server in just enough ways that you're offering two different types of gameplay but at the foundation its still old school maple. This is just my opinion. I may be alone in my feelings
lowkey wanting this because I wouldn't play Nexon pile of dog , they ain't getting my time & money no more.
I don't see the point in adding another "world". The time and resources could be much better spent elsewhere. Scania, Bera, Broa, Windia... they were all exactly the same iirc, their sole purpose being so one server didn't become too over crowded. With our population being what it is we simply have no need for such. It would just be inimical to the long-term health of the game in my view, splitting the community being the one obvious reason not to do it.
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. While we agree that a second world could potentially find success, our main concerns go beyond that. For a new world to feature distinct progression, balancing, and gameplay adjustments, it would require its own dedicated Staff team (particularly Developers) to manage and maintain it effectively. At this time, we do not have the additional resources needed to support the development and maintenance of a separate world alongside the existing one. We hope this helps clarify our stance and the considerations behind it.
A lot of game does it, not just for 1 server to be too populated but it creates a new environment where everyone is starting fresh, instead of starting in a server where perfected items and high level players are already present. You'd find a lot more people to PQ with in places like hene pq, kerning pq, ludi etc, since everyone is playing around that level range. Glove for attack 60%s may be expensive again for example (new market with new prices). But yeah, it would divide up players and not great for small population games like ours.
