Server Character Data Request

Hi,

I was wondering if an admin would kindly pull a report or provide data regarding the percentage of active daily users in certain level brackets.

For example: the number/percentage of characters of all classes from levels 20-30, 30-40, ... , 100,110, who play on a daily basis.

I'd like to know this just to get a better idea of what the average player level is. The ADU is important because this will ensure that the unused, low-level and max-level, accounts don't skew the data. Lastly, if there is a way we could pull stats about the server at any time, that would be excellent. I have a few suggestions for that as well, but that is for another topic.

I don't think it's possible for us to pull that kind of data. Well, technically speaking we could, but why would we waste time doing that? I don't see any kind of benefits that would bring us.

Thanks for the reply; however, there is no need to be curt about it, especially as a staff member representing this server.

This is simply a personal request. I'd like to know two things:

A) Active daily users - not just "online users" - I'm talking people who have consistently come back to play on a daily basis.
B) What is the average level that these active daily users are at?

See above. Also, pure curiosity, but also because it would be cool to see the classes, levels, and leveling progression that the users decide on.

 

Well, sometimes truth hurts, and I'm telling you as both staff and player that I don't see how it will benefit us. So there's no need for you to be rude about that, especially when it wasn't my intention to begin with (and I don't see how what I said was rude?)

And like you said, it's a personal request. Unless we can see good reasons why we should do this by players at large, we won't waste our time on something which only you (seems like the case) are interested in, and at the same time calling me out for being rude for no justified reasons, probably because I wasn't supportive of your personal desire?

 

o -o` umm weird, tho still no idea what you gonna do with this data or why you need it BUT...

heres an idea, why don't you work for the data yourself!?.

you can use the in-game ranking system by level up each class to levels 10 to 110 and don't gain any exp pass that (0.00%) to see how many ranks you loss daily per character/class per level stage/10-110.
for example 1: in past 24 hours, your level 10 warrior lost 57 ranks in "warrior ranking", and 241 in overall ranking.
example 2: in past 24 hours, your level 10 magician lost 97 ranks in "magician ranking", and 241 in overall ranking.
example 3: in past 24 hours, your level 70 pirate lost 31 ranks in "pirate ranking", and 311 in overall ranking.

obviously that will tell you how many (low) warrior and magician and (medium) pirates are active today (and what is their levels) and also how many daily overall that are below that specific levels.
now to be acurate, you gonna need do it with every class and every stage of levels. (level 20 and 30 and 40 per and so on PER class).
NOTE: yes its wont be PERFECT in any way since there are few people who play but don't level up every day, its still WAY better then the "Players Online: 1268 " on the first page.

hey it's a lot of work, but if you do not think its worth your time, don't blame the GM for not wasting his time for your unworthy data.

if you looking for spesific data of private server just for your own use without "justified reasons" as @Kai said, then just look for the data on your own aswell. (while still play and enjoy the game.).
good luck with whatever this is all about.

NOTE: justified reasons will be, off the top of my head, a Guide or use of the data in some sort of free advertising for the server that show real-time 24 hour cycle active players and their class to attract people or something)
