Dear Maple Royals, 9/25/16 8/24/18 Love, Divinity (aka one of the few guilds who actually was invested in GPQ prior to New Source breaking it, and have now lost hours upon hours of time due to a decision that nobody asked for and would have made pretty much no difference whether or not you implimented said change) PS we actually had 500k points but I couldn't find a more recent picture
This was my biggest reasoning for being in support of it. Granted, I wasn't apart of a GPQ active guild before new source, but my outlook on this is good. Just look at the current rankings 24 hours after GPQ came back. I'm sincerely not trying to belittle the accomplishment of your guild and that dedication, but with it being so long since it last worked, it was time for a fresh start. Before I came around here there was a server wide complete wipe as well, I'm sure that upset some people but we all have to move on at some point.
Honestly, I'm not that distraught by the reset, (the 1.5 year hiatus from gpq probably had something to do with that) but it is a bit discouraging to see all that time and effort that me and my fellow guild members went through go *poof* I'm still not completely convinced that resetting the guild points really made all that much of a difference as far as getting people to do gpq, since I think people are mostly gonna be doing it for the medal and/or the exclusive skillbooks. Although, there really isn't anyway of testing whether it got people to gpq more or not, mostly just my own speculation. At the end of the day, I mostly just posted this as a vent my feelings regarding this in my typical snarky manner. I'm not trying to stir any drama or anything like that, just my way of coping I guess . And as much as I'd love to climb up the gpq latter again to our #1 spot, changes in time and availability in many of our members makes that kinda difficult, but that's life I guess, what can you do? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm sure a guild as accomplished as yours will have no difficulty taking 1st again . Can double down on your egos
Could we also refresh the levels of everyone's characters given that the exp rates were changed from 4 to 3.2. Also the game was inaccessible for a long time during new source. Not trying to belittle the contribution of everyone but it would help bring back the motivation of players to rise through the ranks.
Maybe some of those renowned guilds from the past are no longer active? I don't know but that would be a good reason for reset too. Maybe a compensation could be issued to guilds who have had their points reset, like 10,000 mesos per point or something?
all this old guild's is no more active or existing ,so i think its good to restart to see which guild's is active.
That sucks. It would've been nicer if they added another ranking that included the top 5 guilds before the reset, like a hall of fame or something
Pretty good idea. Maybe another board somewhere around Perion which is static. Just showing what the top guilds had prior to the wipe. This NPC maybe could look a bit like an ancient, semi-broken Honorable Rock, if someone likes to create custom NPCs...
The picture of the ranking 24 hours after the reset pretty much proves to me that it didn’t need to be reset... that’s less then 10 days to make rank #4 at that rate! What a ridiculous reason the erase people’s hard work!
