Can we change vote timer from every 24 hours to once per day?

This is incredibly inconvenient since your vote time gets pushed further and further back every day and also means you have to drop what you're doing IRL to come vote at that specific time unless you want to push the vote time back even further!

Other servers offer the option to vote once per day at any point during the day and it amazes me the top server still doesn't have this feature! This will be better for the players and also get the server more votes so it is a no brainer. Why hasn't this been done already?

Currently i'm dealing with this by voting on alternate accounts haha... i'll vote with my main continuously, until my timer gets too late, like 1am, then vote once on my alternate account the next day to reset the timer. I'm not sure if it triggers any flags for the admin, but so far i havent had any issues with vote abuse.

Don't think so, i'm still adhering to the 1 day, 1 vote rule. might be a iffy on the exact timing, but purely so i don't end up missing a vote. It's not like i'm stacking more than 1 vote a day. I doubt they have so much time and man power to be so anal retentive about somethign like this. that said, if i get banned from this though, i'll let you guys know.

 

That’s still abuse, as you get a strict advantage in nx gaining over other players that dont do that. I’d personally advise you to stop before it piles up to a major abuse. Cause i think the count every time you overlap a vote, not the time difference between them.

Both quotes say "per day", seems clear as day.

 

Also, to clarify, the distinction is the rules say "once per day", but staff and the website enforce more of a "never twice within 24h"

Yeah, i haven't actually seen the first one, i assume its in the general terms and conditions. the one i saw and followed the one in the new Voting Rules i read when i joined and understood it as never more than 8k a day which i followed strictly.

That said, yeah, i've seen that the general trend the GMs and Admins follow seem to be the never more than once in 24 hours, which by default means even the most precise mapler will eventually miss one day since you will never be able to re-vote again in exactly 24 hours since there seems to be some sort of reset mechanism that takes a while, so more like 24 hours and 5 minutes.

I'm not sure if that counts as an advantage or not, lul.

 

May a GM shed some light on this matter?
