Can we change vote timer from every 24 hours to once per day?

I don't think we need a GM. Most of us will never average 8K per day because we simply click vote and sometimes forget to do it the exact same time the next day. The best of us might run a timer and average up to 7999 NX per day.
If someone average 8000 NX or more, that person HAS to vote abuse every once in a while. I don't think GMs meant that we should all prepare a sheet where we log our NX gained, and do one abuse vote every once in a while to average exactly 8K.

I don't know if there's anything to be done, because Gtop might have restrictions of its own which Royals' staff are unable to control.

 

Well, you'd be sure if we had a GM.

Having one comment would just clear up that it's either:

1. Impossible to allow voting every 23h and once a day due to gtop limits.
2. Not willing to adjust the rules regardless of community demand.

And then we wouldn't need to guess.

It's possible to implement and we like the idea overall. The only thing we dislike is that voting would reset at 5:00/6:00 Server Time, due to gtop's server time being different than ours. While we still belive that 5/6 will be more convenient for everyone, we are looking into a better solution and we'll keep you updated.

 

Can we get this first at least? At least a s a stop gap measure? Then you can focus your time on more priority stuff and look for that "even better" solution along the way.

 

5/6 is not ideal (not matching servertime, confused new players), but it’s a great upgrade to what we have now, where we all need to strictly follow our own vote times that drifts away from you every passing day. Like @Kur0Kishi i believe that it should be a stopgap until you find a more ideal option

 

Any update on stopgap or permanent solution? Even if gtop doesn't reset at the perfect time any improvement would be greatly appreciated

 

Seeing as it's been sometime I thought I'd bump this topic and also ask if the situation has changed at all? I don't understand how other servers are able to implement this, yet you claim it's a GTOP issue. Could you clarify?

Actually it won't..to be honest. The issue has been around probably since GTop started...and probably even on older voting sites. Your issue is due to your IP being assigned dynamically. One way to resolve it is to obtain a static public IP. Talk to your ISP to discuss about that.

gtop done their part sometime ago
(other servers got it allready done)
think it's only royals site to change the vote timer now

also i think it will fix some of the issues with voteing and not geting nx
because gtop set at 6am ST to reset

 

It has been two months, i doubt they ever will. Maybe we should bring back daily reset on CST to the table of discussions. Again, its not ideal, but its a far more convenient system compared to the one we are using right now.
