Hello Royalers! This is my first post on the forum, so nice to meet everyone! I am having sort of a unique challenge that I am struggling with. I have a level 70 Perma Beginner and am trying to complete the Monster Rider: Protect the Hog quest and am just getting obliterated by the Zeta Greys. I currently have a hit range of 386~4361 and with Sharp Eyes my range can go up to the mid 5000s. I am very stumped as to how to complete this quest knowing that the Zetas are on the hog immediately once I start hitting the treasure chests. I even managed to buy some 15 attk SCG to try to accomplish the goal but still not luck to any avail. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Honestly it has been very frustrating that I am unable to complete this portion of the quest after having been looking forward to it for so long.
Use one or few low lv monster sacks at a higher plat immediately after you enter the quest map, this will stop any further monster spawn.
Each map has a set amount of monsters that can be on it at any time. By spawning some weak mobs the moment you go in, you prevent zeta grays from spawning since the quota is already filled, and these weak mobs can't hurt the piggy. So you're free to go do anything you like. That said, I thought beginners couldn't get mounts? Something like the rest being tied to job promotion instead of level?
All i can say is, use stoppers, and equip a lot of str. Or just lvl up more to increase your damage. Other than that, you can also rely on luck, as the range of beginners goes from around 10% of max range to max. If you’ll have a lucky streak you might be able to protect the hog for long enough
