After a losing spree because we don't play the most broken class in the server, a guildie suggested that there should be some reward for losers too. I can imagine it to be very infuriating to lose 6 times in a row and getting absolutely nothing. Perhaps half or a third of the reward that winners get?
Yeah, but just saying it would be much more rewarding for losing parties to get something out of it. You wouldn't want to have a scenario where novices keep losing for no rewards completely.
I find no parties want to trade wins due to the day limit. But do see parties wanting to recruit mule users only.
Balloon PQ has a duel system. Because everyone wants the reward with least sacrifice, use of mules or match fixing will be inevitable. However, that doesn't seem to fit the intention behind the PQ. We need randomization to make it competitive and fair. Last year's halloween event included a JQ competition that was held every hour? where everyone could participate and everyone would be matched with a random opponent among the hundreds of participants. There was a good chance to waste our time and effort had we lost, but many still participated in the hope that they'd win and reap the reward. I think a similar system can be used for the Balloon PQ. Let's say it's held by the server every 1 hour and any one can compete without an entry limit per day. This may also improve the shortage of candle supply. Random people will be assigned in teams of 3 and get matched with another random team. The only drawback is that it requires multiples of 6 players in participation to allocate a match for everyone.
Another drawback would be that this will require an entire pq overhaul. They'll need to throw out a shit ton of code, and make a new one, and thats while the event is running. Such a change can't be done before the event is already over, and by then it will be pointless.
